You need to buy new sets of cooking knives for the lodges as they are blunt and you can’t cut anything with them.

"Not worth the money."

Miss C Tart - Stayed with family, Aug 2023

I feel the lodges are over priced with the following problems we found during our stay. I feel the lodges are over priced with the following problems we found during our stay. As shown in the images below the cups were chipped, the tray in the cupboard was Mouldy, there was a hole in the bedding, broken bowl, one of the light switches in the dinning area was buzzing and flickered so we didn’t turn it on again, we realised when we went to eat our dinner we didn’t have enough forks so tried to call the main reception but it was closed so we could not do anything about this and the bathroom door didn’t line up with the frame so it didn’t close easily so when I shut it I got stuck in there so we had to keep the bathroom door open for the rest of the stay. Also a vape was found between the cushions on the bed which was not ours so therefore couldn’t of been cleaned thoroughly. On the second night the second cabin up were screaming and shouting after midnight, it says to report the this to reception but there was no one to contact at that time of night.

"Forgotten Lodges"

Mr S Stubley - Stayed with family, Aug 2023

I can't really comment on the site as we stayed in the Premium Lodges and they are not even on the site. You are right next to the entrance and main road which means you can't let kids loose confidently. They are not integrated with the big open field site at all so I... You are right next to the entrance and main road which means you can't let kids loose confidently. They are not integrated with the big open field site at all so I may as well have been staying in a hotel. I would have mentioned it but the 5 times we went to the Office there was a stuck up sign saying back in 5 with a number that no-one answered. Shame, because the actual lodge was great fun, but nowhere near worth almost £400 for 2 nights.

Mrs A Slack - Stayed with family, Aug 2023

We stayed in the Premium lodges. Really spacious. Plenty of lights , a fitted kitchen , high ceilings. The sleeping arrangements were really good. And of course , the hot tub too.

"Lovely lodges, and surrounding walks"

Mrs C Hourigan - Stayed with friends, Jun 2023

Lodges were lovely, individual hottub were a bonus. Little park for the kids to play in and a woodland area to explore…perfect for groups of friends.

"Avoid"

Mrs T Meek - Stayed with friends, Jun 2023

The staff were unhelpful and rude. The lodge had used plasters stuck to the bedding. We called for assistance, out of hours were informed someone would be with us in 10 minutes. None showed up! The excuse was I don't know how to check my voicemail and I don't answer... The staff were unhelpful and rude. The lodge had used plasters stuck to the bedding. This was after me talking to a man on the number provided! No apologies.

"Good overall, could have been better"

Mr D O'Donnell - Stayed with partner, May 2023

Elm lodge was fantastic! Just what we wanted and we did have a lovely time! Place was clean tidy and well kitted out! However. On the first night we fancied watching a dvd… a bit lame I know, but hey. We borrowed a couple of dvds from reception but couldn’t get the dvd... Elm lodge was fantastic! Just what we wanted and we did have a lovely time! Place was clean tidy and well kitted out! However. On the first night we fancied watching a dvd… a bit lame I know, but hey. We borrowed a couple of dvds from reception but couldn’t get the dvd player to work. Nor the free view on the tv. I asked the young man on reception to come have a look at it, which after informing me he was no longer in duty, begrudgingly came to have a look.. he couldn’t fix the problem either. What would have been nice is an attempt to remedy the problem on the Saturday while we were out.. but it didn’t happen! Probably could have been an easy fix?.. It didn’t ruin our stay at all… but offering a luxury lodge with all the trimmings is only good if all the trimmings work! Just a suggestion Dan
