The food and drinks in the clubhouse are great value for money (the portion sizes are very generous) and tasty it, highly recommend it. The location is beautiful, a walk into nearby Howarth is lovely. You have to visit Hardcastle Craggs and visit Gibson Mill.

Didn't expect this when paid so much

It was really cosy and the bed was very comfortable, but quite low (my husband has slight mobility issues). The staff were very helpful and friendly. The downside for us was that there was no undercover area outside for cooking, so if it’s raining you can’t cook unless you use the microwave. Because we went in low season the bar was only open one night. It’s a lovely space with a good choice of drinks. We wanted a snack so ordered a starter each - what a mistake! Each was larger than any main meal we could eat (we could have shared). It was overfacing and ruined my appetite. I hate waste but we left well over half as it was just too much. We’re seasoned campers and keep our dog under control at all times. One of the other yurts had a young dog who seemed to be loose outside most of the time. It tried to get into our yurt a couple of times and I worry where it was toileting? We had a really nice low cost break and would consider returning 😀

We had a very comfortable stay in the Yurt and used the log burner at night, as it started to get a little cold. The shower block and toilets were always very clean. We ate food in the clubhouse and found it very tasty and value for money. All the staff were always very polite and helpful. We all said we enjoyed our time and will definitely be returning. All in all we had a wonderful weekend.
Thank you very much for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay :)

Near to the toilets and wash facilities. That are lovely and clean and to high standard. Showers 50p but get a good nice and warm, 10 mins shower for that. It is a well run site, they are lovely and welcoming and help you with anything to make your stay pleasurable.
Thank you for your review :)
