We had a lovely stay at The Dorset Hideaway. The yurt had everything we needed and more. It was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The setting is peaceful and it was a good base to explore Dorset. I have booked to come back again in November.

We loved our stay at the Dorset Hideaway. We stayed in a Yurt, the facilities were beyond what we expected, the private bathroom was immaculate. The onsite takeaway was especially handy for our first night. We enjoyed the hot tub and BBQing on the fire. The bed was comfortable, the electric blanket was a great addition. We loved how secluded the Glamping felt. We've already recommended it to friends and family.

Great stay but needed more information

The Dorset Hideaway was perfect for a lovely getaway with my partner near the coast. Yurt was great and especially the facilities provided with it, including the hot tub to ourselves. The surrounding area was nice enough, but it is a hideaway so to get to places you do have to drive down roads which aren't the nicest to drive down. It is also a bit further away than we thought from some of the main attractions in Dorset which was disappointing but we still had a lovely time at a walk at the Golden Cap and down to Seatown. My biggest issue with the Dorset Hideaway was the lack of information provided. Website has clearly not been updated recently as what was provided was not exactly what was included when we arrived or it was a very vague description. Staff who welcomed us to the yurt gave good enough information but would have been nice to have a welcome pack with all the important information on as well. Worst thing about the lack of information was the breakfast which was supposed to be included, my partner has a serious nut allergy so I emailed to inform the staff and ask that it would not include nuts but we arrived and there were items there which had nuts in. Very disappointed as it had clearly been ignored and nothing was labelled so we just had to avoid the stuff which was left. I hope this is an area that is improved on as from a customer service perspective I felt there was minimal communication between the site and the customers.
