Lordstones is a privately owned Country Park offering glamping in the North York Moors National Park.

Our Glamping Pods are hand built and bespoke to us, they offer more space than the standard 'Mega Pods' available at other glamping sites, they have also just recently been given a fresh new look, making them among the most desirable pods for glamping in Yorkshire!

The pods are located in their own secluded Pod Village, surrounded by ponds and have beautiful Moorland views.

Each glamping pod contains a small washroom with toilet and wash basin, a double bed & double sofa-bed and can comfortably sleep up to 4 people and are ideal for 2 Adults & 2 Children. There is also a small kitchenette area with travel kettle, under counter fridge and basin and dining table & chairs. Guests have access to a wood burning stove to keep them warm on their Yorkshire glamping trip and each pod has a personal outdoor decking area with seating and a cast iron BBQ.

We have a minimum stay of 2 nights and we are a pet friendly glamping site, accepting pets in two of our pods (subject to availability).

Just a stone's throw from your accommodation you will find; The Lordstones Shop, selling local produce including our own hand-reared beef and all the camping essentials from logs to lemonade! You will also find The Lordstones cafe which is the perfect destination for a quick coffee stop, or an enjoyable lunch and The Belted Bull Restaurant which offers the finest quality, locally sourced produce. The restaurant is open from 6 till late, Thursday through to Saturday.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to pre-book bedding & towels or bring your own. Our glamping pods do not contain any cutlery or crockery.

My daughter and I stayed two nights in the Moorhen pod , we took our two poodles and we had such a peaceful relaxing stay , the pod was everything we needed and very clean , the surroundings were spectacular! Such a beautiful place. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend a stay at lordstones.

Great weekend in Moorhen Pod, so relaxing and the pod was situated in serene location. Great access to a few small market towns. We all really enjoy our stay and we definitely are looking to return.

Lovely little place

I stayed at Lord Stones with my young son and it was a lovely 2 night break for us. There is no internet/phone signal in the pod and for us that was brilliant. Device free time was exactly what we needed. You can get WI-FI at the cafe so it is there if you need it. The staff were amazing, every member of staff that we encountered was lovely and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. There are plenty of brilliant walking routes with lots to see. We visited out of season but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We purchased steak from the on site shop to take home it was beautiful and very reasonably priced.Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so memorable. We will be back to visit soon

Glamping trip

We had to wait to check in because we were told the pod hadn’t been cleaned yet (2:30pm). However all the pods were empty so we were confused as to why we couldn’t make use of the facilities yet. On arrival, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our pod. It smelt like wet dog, the floor was filthy (we had to bin our socks), the toilet smelt of urine, the fridge was dirty and the microwave was even worse. We made the best of our stay and would consider returning if the cleanliness dramatically improved and prices were reduced. 3 out of 5 pods were empty and this was during the school holidays too.

OK stay

Truran, Elisabeth - 03/09/2023

Arrived at 3pm to check in as requested. Had to wait 50mins as pod wasn't ready. Pod was clean and tidy but outside light wasn't working unfortunately which meant we couldnt sit out on the porch in the evening as the surrounding area is pitch black. We had been told cafe shut at 4pm, but first day it closed at 3pm, second day it closed at 2pm so we didn't get to have a meal there after our mornings out walking. Bed was VERY uncomfortable so requested additional bedding to use the pull out sofa instead. Unfortunately it was no better. Overall it was an OK stay for a last minute break.

Pod stat

Pods were very clean. Lacking in a few bits of basic kitchen equipment such as a jug, sharp knives, scissors- luckily I’d thought ahead and brought some just in case !! A small carton of milk to go with the welcome tea bags would maybe be a nice touch 🤷🏼‍♀️Staff are amazing and very friendly and the positioning of the pods is great so you are not right next door to your neighbours. No phone signal in the pod area so you have to walk over to the cafe area which was not great but didn’t spoil a lovely few days away 👍🏼

The last anthem and BBQ weekend

Great location and setting, the BBQ was great. The bar shut really early on the Saturday night and the shower pressure was dreadful, but apart from that we loved out stay! I think dogs should be allowed in the building to make it an allYear round possibility!

I visited Lordstones with my partner . We stayed in one of the pods. The area around the park is beautiful and fabulous for walking. The pod was great , it had a small kitchen area but everything we needed but a sharp knife and chopping board would have been helpful. The bed was comfortable . The only negative was the sofa bed it was incredibly uncomfortable to sit on .The second night we ate at the restaurant I had a Beltie burger and my partner had a steak both were excellent . I would definitely recommend Lordstones .
