The pod is immaculate and has everything anyone would need to enjoy their stay. It was cold and wet weather throughout our stay, however we were 'snug as bugs' with the underfloor heating and the log burner which is really efficient and easy to use. The views are fantastic and a real pleasure to wake up to. The Wardens were all very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The local town is only a mile away and has everything you need with a Sainsburys, Co-op, a number of pubs all serving food and dog friendly. Fish and chip shops with one delivering to the site. There is also an Indian, Chinese and a selection of cafes. Just up the road from the site is a lovely pub serving great food and a selection of ales and ciders. It is approx. a 10 minute walk and well worth a visit. All in all, we had a great stay and will definitely be visiting again.

The welcome and check in was really easy and very friendly, the reception team were really helpful. The Castle Pod was really nice and the view perfect. We had a lovely 3 nights using all the facilities inside & out (BBQ, Fire Pit & Hot-tub) - we had the breakfast pack which was really good quality & also ate the made-on-site pizza's on the Friday which we can highly recommend. We had a lovely relaxing break. The Mile Castle Pub nearby was great too with good beer and nice food. To make the stay even better we would recommend: 1. provide a hair drier - my wife didn't bring one but needed one with being in and out of the hot-tub. 2. provide some extraction over the hob as wen cooking we had to have all the windows open to get rid of smells and smoke, less of a problem in hot weather but in cold weather it would not be good. 3. provide some additional lighting over the sink / hob as the lighting that is there is behind you so your working in your own shadow. The above would make it

The staff couldn’t do more for you if they tried. The accommodation is out of this world. I’ve stopped in both a pod, and this time, the Castle Pod, which was out of this world. The hot tub was perfectly clean, and accessible, and very enjoyable. The views from the castle pod were unbelievable. There was many types of birds flying around, including what I think was some type of hawk. The hawk hovered about 30 yards away from us, right in front of the door. And I can’t forget how entertaining the sheep were! The photo below is the view from the front of the Castle Pod, looking out over the Pennines
