What to bring:

All you really need to bring is yourself and your holiday clothes; the rest is pretty much covered. Unlike many pod providers, our luxury glamping pods include all the essentials for basic self-catering.We’re only a 10 minute walk along a street-lit pavement into the village of High Bentham for supplies, with a Spar and Co-op that are both open until 10pm daily. As well as our onsite restaurant 1922 Bar & Kitchen, which serves meals during the day, Bentham offers 4 pubs, 2 Indian takeaways (1 is also a restaurant), a Chinese takeaway and a quintessentially English fish and chip shop.

Extras:

Breakfast is served daily in our on-site restaurant and or breakfast can be provided in your pod.

If you’d like to arrange a little thank you or romantic gesture for someone you’ve brought along, then please let us know. We work with local partners to provide hampers, bouquets of flowers or even champagne and chocolates if you’d like to indulge a special someone.

We stayed in one of the pods for two nights and this was first class , warm ,cozy, well equipped ( microwave and small kitchen area) and a good sized shower. The bed was king size and very comfy. The views from the pod looking over the golf course, right by the 10th tee, and looking at the mountains in the distance were superb. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful with Isabel sorting the booking out and heather showing us to our pod and also the lodges that can be hired or purchased. Finally the course it’s self is a good test of your golf abilities with a fine variety of holes and praise to the green keepers for presenting it so well. We will certainly be returning and could recommend this place / area without hesitation.

However, this stay would have been better suited to a golfer, rather than dog owners. The pod is situated right on a golf hole, but the dogs are limited to a couple of access paths. Along these access paths the bins have a sign on saying no dog poo in the bins! How can you claim to be dog friendly if we can't even put dog poo in the bins? Also, the pods are very nice, but the dogs are not allowed on the bed so this contradicts the dog friendly message. Another downfall is the parking situation, you cannot park next to the pod even though the space is there. You park in the main car park and upon arrival a golf caddy takes you and your luggage to the pod, around 200 yards or so, but when leaving the welcome pack says if its raining you can ring a member of staff to pick you up. I don't think anybody would call to be taken 200 yards, but when leaving during a storm it's not ideal getting wet through walking all of the luggage back to the car. Overall, I would recommend this stay to a golfer without a doubt, its a golfers heaven. However, without a few changes to make this more dog friendly we won't be rushing back.
