The glamping pods at Hillcroft Park are the perfect location for glamping near Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. Owned and operated by the Heath Family, the award-winning Hillcroft Park sits above the pretty lakeside village of Pooley Bridge.

Hillcroft Park boasts one of the most stunning locations of any UK holiday park and you are sure to have an unforgettable glamping holiday here. Designed to meet the needs of holiday makers who appreciate the peace and tranquility found in this part of the world, Hillcroft Park provides an ever-changing landscape that is simply breathtaking throughout the year.

Our glamping pods are suitable for couples or families with up to 2 adults and 2 Children. They are equipped with a light, heater and are carpeted, however, you are required to bring your own bedding (i.e. air beds, pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, etc.) and other accessories as you would if you were camping. Think of it as going camping, but we provide you with a glamping pod rather than a tent.

We love what we do and work hard to go that extra mile for our guests. Providing the best facilities with a personal touch, we’ve an onsite shop that sells a good range of local produce and everyday staples plus a play area with outdoor table tennis and football tables. There is a dedicated laundry room and a drying room.

We are lucky enough to be located in the beautiful Ullswater Valley and there are a multitude of walks for all levels and abilities in the area. A recent addition to the list is the Ullswater Way – a 20 mile circular walking route around the lake. The route can be walked in either direction and from any starting point.

We regularly visit Hill Croft to campor glamp and have seen the site develop over 12 years. The location offers great access to Pooley Bridge, Ullswater lake & is a short walk to Barton Fell and beyond. The investment in the new toilet/ wash facilities is a really asset to the park, as is the play area for children. The shop offers a selection of convenience goods, as well as some nice gifts and the regular visit by the fish&chip van is a bonus! Can’t wait to return again, let’s hope the sun is shining next time too!

"Dog walk 🐕"

R Ward - Stayed with partner, Jun 2019

This Park deserves a red ribbon award, the only thing I would say is that perhaps you could make a designated dog walk, I always feel guilty walking my dog around the family field or the tourer site.

We get to Pooley Bridge 4/5 times a year and always aim to stay here. Facilities are fabulous. If it had some evening entertainment like a clubhouse that would make this place incredible. Daughters 6 and enjoys it, the play park could do with a few updates as the fields big enough to push it out a bit more but can’t complain. Easy walk to village, tricky stumble up the hill back! That gold cart should do shuttle runs!!! Five stars, site staff are lovely too

Stayed here recently for a couple of nights with my partner in one of the pods. Absolutely loved it here and hope to return soon, great to see the family investing in their facilities with the new shower block and future plans for a swimming pool. Great location with a 5 minute walk to pooley bridges pubs and shops and close to some amazing walks around ullswater. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and appear to be well treat by management who only had positive things to say. John and mags the wardens /caretakers are great and very helpful and we look forward to catching up again with them in the near future. Overall can't fault hillcroft Park. Mr Talbot

Possibly as it was so cold outside even though it was the end of May. The fish n chip van was a nice touch. Amazing toilet block and I can’t wait for the old one to be converted- even though I used the old one all of the time as it was closer and was still good enough. Only thing that I would like improved was it would be more helpful to have more hooks inside the pod or another couple of shelves. Also more hooks outside on the veranda. When it’s raining- which it was- then it is hard when you need to keep things off the floor as the children played inside to avoid the torrential rain. We need somewhere for at least wet coats to be put. I’d also like to see a hook to keep the pod doors open. I’m surprised that you don’t have constant complaints of children trapping their fingers. I mentioned this the last time we stayed and it hasn’t been done. Maybe you have a reason. Simple changes would make life easier in a pod.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the family who run the park couldn't have been more helpful. There was even drying rooms for when you inevitably get wet in the Lakes! The cost was very reasonable and there were some nice pubs in Pooley Bridge to have a meal. I would definitely go back again.
