The camping pods at Hillcroft Park are the perfect location for staying near Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. Owned and operated by the Heath Family, the award-winning Hillcroft Park sits above the pretty lakeside village of Pooley Bridge.

Designed to meet the needs of holiday makers who appreciate the peace and tranquillity found in this part of the world, Hillcroft Park provides an ever-changing landscape that is simply breathtaking throughout the year.
Camping Pods are suitable for couples or families of up to 2 adults and 3 Children. They are equipped with a light, heater and are carpeted, however, you are required to bring your own bedding (i.e. air beds, pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, etc.) and other accessories as you would if you were camping. Think of it as going camping, but we provide you with a camping pod rather than a tent.
We love what we do and work hard to go that extra mile for our guests. Providing the best facilities with a personal touch, we’ve an onsite shop that sells a good range of local produce and everyday staples plus a play area with outdoor table tennis and football tables. There is a dedicated laundry room and a drying room.
We are lucky enough to be located in the beautiful Ullswater Valley and there are a multitude of walks for all levels and abilities in the area. A recent addition to the list is the Ullswater Way – a 20 mile circular walking route around the lake. The route can be walked in either direction and from any starting point.

We have stayed at Hilcroft Park over 5 times now and we love it! Site is lovely the pods are great, the shower/toilet facilities are so clean. There’s a little shop on site for essentials and a great touch is the little food van selling pizza and breakfast baps etc.Staff are so friendly, we love John, he’s so funny, and so helpful. We’ve camped in a tent and stayed in the pods.Would highly recommend!We’ll be back again soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic park, kept clean all the time. The workers there keep an eye on everything all the time. Because it is so well kept, clean and family friendly , we will come back.

Stopped 1 night in a pod which slept 5 we had 2 kids and 2 adults...basic but fine for 1 night. The toilet and shower block were always spotlessly clean and well maintained the only thing I'd say is that we thought a small kitchenette would have been beneficial for the pods which don't have cooking facilities and also maybe a bbq hut or fire pit option for the pod. Location was great to explore the lakes and Cumbria. Quick and easy check in and check out.

What an amazing site and can’t wait to visit again! The facilities were absolutely spotless and plentiful, everything we needed Hillcroft catered too. Camping pod was a great size and the enclosed porch/patio was great for taking our little pooch. Short walk into the centre to sample all the food and drinks. The campsite kitchen was a great addition, wish we realised they did breakfast and pizzas beforehand as we would have used it.

Wonderful as always, grounds kept lovely, facilities all lovely and clean. Pod lovely and clean. We have stayed here at least once a year for the last 4 years and always love it. Booked to return next year whilst sat around the fire. Amazing stay as always . Thank you 😊 see you soon

This is our 3rd stay at Hillcroft and it continues to have very high standards of customer care. The toilet/shower block is spotlessly clean, in fact, the whole site is maintained to a very high standard. We have already booked for next year!
