The Conwy glamping site of Waenfechan Glamping has two luxury hideaway pods for lucky sorts to seek seclusion at, set among the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia's mountains, the Conwy estuary and the Great Orme... and each pod has its own hot tub for highly scenic soaks.
It's a mighty peaceful setting among these mighty mountain and sea views, but within easy reach of supplies, shops and the seaside for guests craving closeness to amenities: Conwy town and the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno are both within 20 minutes. Or you could give the car a rest and set off out on local ambles such as the Hiraethlyn Walk's three and a half-mile circular route just outside the site, around the National Trust's Bodnant Garden a mile and a half away – or to the village pub for drinks and evening meals.
Waenfechan Glamping is on a family-run farm, with the self-contained glamping pods set on one of its quietest and most wildlife-friendly spots. The pods were all newly built in 2018 and come with pull out sofa bed with luxury bed linen; heating and electricity included; a smart TV; a shower room and a small kitchenette.
The outside decking area is, perhaps best to utilise when you're still steaming from the hot tub, wrapped in your fluffy dressing gown, and pouring a tasty aperitif against the Welsh sunset...

The staff were lovely when checking us in and gave lots of info and local recommendations. The pod itself is very cute, really cosy for 2 people especially with the fire on! The views are gorgeous and it is such a quiet and peaceful site. The hot tub was the highlight for us, especially staying in November it was pretty nippy so very much needed! Not too far from Conwy & Betws-y-Coed, around a 20/25 min drive which were really nice to visit. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return again!! Only downside for us was having to pay £25 for a taxi to The Bee Inn which was only about 6 minute drive but there are no local taxis which we didn’t think of earlier. Lucky enough we got a lift back from a lovely local farmer!!

There was absolutely nothing to fault, the check in system was so easy and we were straight into our pod. The pod was spotless and smelt so fresh and clear. The fake fire in the corner kept us warm throughout the cold weekend, and the hot tub was used both nights!! We will definitely be returning again soon!

The pods were all warm, cosy, clean and had stunning views of the mountains. There is also really nice food and drink about 10 min drive. Its a reasonable price and couldn't fault the place at all. It was so peaceful and so many things to do near by. So make sure you get this one booked in! Thank you for the lovely stay and we will definitely be back.

Surrounded by the beautiful Welsh mountains and sea views, these secluded lodges are perfectly positioned to take in the wonderful views. Fully self contained and well equipped for a relaxing break away from distractions. Waenfechan farm glamping site is close to Conwy Castle and Llandudno. But the best day out excursion we enjoyed was Bodnant Gardens, a national trust property on the doorstep of the glamp site. A valley with mature towering trees and water falls. Well worth a visit. Also, while in Llandudno take a tour of the Penderyn whiskey distillery situated in a building that was once a school.

We stayed in the hideaway pod which was perfect for us. The electric heater that’s looked like a fire was amazing. It kept us both very warm during storm Agnes. The pod has a boiler so the hot water is excellent. The hot tub was definitely the highlight for us. Despite the weather, we enjoyed both nights and a morning of our stay in it. The temperature of it is perfect and paired with the views of the hills it was an incredible experience. Regarding the bed, we have never slept in such a comfortable mattress. It was like how we could imagine sleeping on a cloud would be, which I was a pleasant surprise since the bed also doubles up as a the couch area and didn’t expect it to be as comfortable as it Thank you so much to all the staff here. You were very helpful and the store on sight is well stocked with essentials. We will definitely be back in the near future.
