Friendly and helpful owners.Pod was well equipped, clean and comfortable.We were just staying here as a base while we attended a local event so didn't fish or get the chance to visit the onsite cafe.local area is lovely, and the curries at the nearby belvoir hotel are amazing.

I've stayed at Jansons fishery a couple of times before and it would always be my first choice when spending time in the East Midlands. There are a couple of points the proprietors might like to look at:The gas hobs are tricky to turn on and stay on.The bed is rather small, gap between the bed and the wall is too small to help access to the bed, a wider bed that utilises all the available space would be more comfortable.

Paid for Monday to Friday but you loose the Monday as you can't go into the pods until 4pm,then you loose friday as you have to be out by 10am if it rains you can't store your fishing gear if you don't have a car,also the bed is not easily accessible and the food is basic,also too many fish in the pond

Accessibility good location good only a hour away fromm my house staff very helpful cleanliness of pods and wash room very clean one of the best I've seen do a good breakfast went to local pub Durham ox for evening meal excellent food and hot

I was more than impressed with Jansons. I was catered for on a late arrival. Very welcoming.The Pod was well presented and clean.Tackle shop staff very helpful, and the shop itself well stocked. Day ticket rates more than acceptable First day fished caravan lake, plent of fish caught.2nd day me and my lad had Redmile 2 to ourselves and had a very pleasant day catching carp on feeder.We can't wait to return again, thanks Jansons

We stayed in one of the pods for just couple nights. The pod itself was clean with everything you need to make your stay like home. The site was clean, quiet and well maintained with very convenient fishing just in front of the pod. Fishing itself was excellent in the caravan lake (haven’t tried any of the other lakes) with good and interesting stock; in the day and a half of fishing I caught barbel, carp, tench, golden tench, roach. Tackle shop on site with everything you might need, including maggots. The only comment I would make is that the checking in after 4pm feels rather unjustifiably late. Planning to return 👍😀

The glamping pods were so cosy and the bed was so comfy! the warden was so lovely.highly recommend !

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pod was even better than last year as not had to bring own bedding etc and WiFi. Everything was clean and tidy. The fishing was excellent or so my partner says....I like the idea of a cafe available in the mornings.

We spent 2 nights at Jansons and were very impressed with the facilities, we stayed in one of the Pods, this was very well equipped for a short stay or longer, modern appliances, very clean and comfortable with tv and wi-fi, the staff are friendly and helpful and basically leave you to it unless you have a query and they are readily available and happy to help, we will be back later in the year for some nice relaxing time for me and some great fishing for m husband
