Had pretty much everything you needed. Not sure it was worth 55 a night per person. In November season. Think it was ideal for a couple but couldn't imagine having up to 4 people in there. Located in a rough estate. Cleanliness could of been improved. A child's pj set found behind sofa cushion. Arrived to find power was off. And fridge warm. A pot of ice cream found which stank the fridge out. Must of been in there some time to smell like that. And mould spores found in fridge. Ended up cleaning myself. Other than that thought it was a nice little set up bed, bathroom, sofa, table, microwave. For me there wasn't enough in area to warrant going back.

"Lodge stay"

Mrs S Hill - Stayed with family, Oct 2021

We stayed in one of the lodges. Having a hot tub was a real bonus and the kids loved it. The lodge was clean and warm despite staying in Oct. It could have benefitted from a few more kitchen utensils to make life easier, simple things like a tin opener or grater. Good... We stayed in one of the lodges. We really loved our stay celebrating a friends 40th. The hot tubs at each lodge were great and the cabins clean. We had a great time round the big fire pit. My only recommendation is that there is some sort of covered area outside. Would have been great to sit outside even in the rain if there was a covered area.

"Blood on sheets and dirty floors"

H Holmes - Stayed with partner, Aug 2021

I emailed the park to complain but I have not received a response. The shower head holder was broken, the light in our room didn’t work, the floors were dirty, and there was dried blood stains on our bedding!

We are a national, Christian motorcycle club with an average of members being in our 60's (and therefore unlikely to be a rowdy group). This was made clear to the campsite when we first made enquiries and they were happy to accept our bookings, although insisted everyone had to book individually. When our members rang to make bookings, the site were unaware of us! When contacted to ask about facilities, etc, they told us that groups were not welcome - although several groups were seen on site while we were there with cars corralled around tents well under the HSE spacing to keep campers safe from fire. We were then told that bbq's were not allowed, especially for groups - the site sells disposable bbq's, and provides a communal area within the wooden cabins. The entry to the site was covered with loose Type One gravel which had not been rolled in and was treacherous for two wheeled vehicles and the majority of cars were grounding on the piles of gravel dug in the exit (and the entry onto the Public Highway was tarmac covered with loose gravel as well). In our relatively new cabin, three of the light bulbs were blown and although reported, no attempt was made to either repair or even offer us spare bulbs. The web site carried two different price lists and also the photos did not show how steep the slope was (and neither was that mentioned to anyone ringing up - we found out this on a pre site inspection by one of our members). Our group stayed in a mixture of on-site cabins, caravans and tents and were not allowed to be together on site. The access was terrible and we most certainly won't be staying there again. People from the other groups on site were surprised that we were given so many restrictions! We were not even allowed to hold a short service on the Sunday morning because we were told to clear off the site by 11.
