Accepted Why not come and stay with us in one of our beautiful Shepherds huts, Situated in a meadow on the edge of our re-wilding area, close to Dartmoor, you will have the chance to glimpse our ‘re-wilding helpers’ such as wild cattle, pigs, mouflon sheep and Exmoor ponies with a beautiful backdrop of Dartmoor.

While you are with us you might want to take part in our specialist activities such as guided tours of the re-wilding area, animal encounters, an evening beaver watching or a discussion evening with our ecologists. These can be booked on arrival. Or simply relax while nature heals around you. In the evening, sit around the camp fire, or on one of our wildlife viewing platforms, or in our social hub where you can meet like-minded people for a chat and a glass of your favourite tipple or even make a pizza. Alternatively, spend the day relaxing enjoying the view, or one of the many other activities the area has to offer. We have great local pubs and restuarants all detailed in our visitors pack.

Our customised shepherd huts provide a beautiful and cosy base for your stay with us. Each shepherd hut contains a double bed (bedding and towels provided) that doubles up as a seating area with a table. Shepherds huts have cooking facilities attached and we provide cooking utensils. There is a log burner and wood (more available from our shop). The hut is off grid but do contain solar lights and USB chargers. Seperate heated showers and toilets are located close to your huts.

Shepherd huts are available from mid-May to mid-October. We offer 3 holiday options:

Week long (Friday to Friday). £100 per night

Mid-week stay (Wednesday to Friday) £100 per night

Weekend stay (Friday to Sunday or Monday). £120 per night

Prices include a complimentary animal encounters activity

Check in on either a Friday or a Wednesday. Check in is after 3pm and check out is 10am. We regret we cannot accept dogs or children under 10.

Our activities are outdoor and we will ensure social distance measures meeting current government guidelines are in place. We offer a full refund on bookings that cannot be completed due to changes in UK Government travel rules.

To fully enjoy your stay we recommended that you bring a camera and binoculars for wildlife viewing. Warm and prefereably waterproof clothing and a good pair of walk boots or shoes.
