Nestled in the undulating hills of Rutland, Rutland Rural Retreats is a secluded two pod, adults only, dog friendly glamping retreat, set off the beaten track, within 4 acres of beautiful old meadow land, bordered by an array of hedgerows, trees and brooks.

Bumblebee Pod is a bespoke Scandinavian pod that has been handcrafted with the comfort and enjoyment of our guests at the forefront of our minds.

Fully insulated, double glazed and with under floor heating, guests can relax snug inside on those chillier evenings.

We believe in providing as rural and undisturbed an environment as possible and as such have kept our offering to only a small number of pods. These are hidden from view on entering the site as they reside in a completely separate and enclosed meadow whose only other residents are the visiting sheep and wildlife.

Unveiled in 2022, this pod has its own private seating area complete with fire pit; enclosed garden (1m high stock fencing) with recliners and elevated decking area complete with coffee table and chairs for enjoying that early morning coffee and croissants or a late night tipple!

Both pods have en-suite bathrooms with heated towel rail, flushing toilet and shower, kitchenette with fridge/freezer, two ring hob, combination oven; double bed, vintage leather sofa, moveable dining table and fan. Everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay and unwind when not getting out and about in the beautiful Rutland countryside. Bedding can be added.

There are also a couple of seating areas scattered around and over the brook to enjoy the wonderful setting that Rutland Rural Retreats enjoys. Watch the horses meandering, listen to the birds singing or just let the soothing babble of the nearby Brook carry your thoughts away as you watch the sun go down.

Leave your car behind, meander along the limestone path and take time to breathe in the fresh air, listen to the birds sing as you cross the footbridge into the meadow beyond.....

To keep the experience as rural as possible, cars are not allowed in the glamping field, instead luggage trolleys are provided to enable guests to transport their luggage the short walk, along our winding limestone paths and across the bridge over the brook from the car park to the pods.

This Pod is ideal for romantic breaks, dog friendly stays and for immersing yourself in nature. Explore local footpaths, historic houses, private gardens and the famous Rutland Water. Close to beautiful quaint market towns.
