Established in 2003 and set on the edge of four acres of mature woodland with meandering pathways, numerous wood carvings and a laburnum avenue leading into a labyrinth, are five different nomadic structures - a Mongolian ger, a Bentwood yurt, an Alachigh, an 18' Native American Indian Tipi and a Lavvu, used by the Sami tribe in Scandinavia. Each tent has its own 'space' and its own campfire area with hand-made stepping stones weaving in and around the campsite.

All of the accommodation has comfortable beds and furnishings, including sheepskins, throws, large cushions etc and all have woodburning stoves to keep you toasty warm. The campsite is powered by alternative energy which has been developed over the last twenty five years and we have rare breed Boreray sheep plus a variety of chickens and ducks. Facilities include a well equipped communal log cabin, a play area in a woodland setting for children, two hot showers and toilets. All cooking equipment and camping paraphernalia is supplied. We are always on hand to give assistance and offer a friendly service. This is a quiet location, ideal for families and couples looking for a relaxed, alternative and sustainable holiday.

We are located in a very rural location not too far from the beaches of both Cardigan Bay, with its dolphins, porpoises and seals, and also Carmarthen Bay with its long sandy beaches. There is a multitude of things to do in the area – from the energetic to coastal walking, gardens and lots of castles!

Set a little apart from the rest of the campsite, the Alachigh has it own tranquil private area. Spacious and breathtaking it is a perfect spot for large families to spend quality time together. There is also an outdoor campfire area with table and seating.

The Alachigh is eight meters in diameter and has an oak breakfast bar which allows you to soak up the stunning view across the Teifi Valley. In the centre is a wood-burning stove surrounded by a fitted fireguard. There are four single beds and one double - bedding is available at prior request at an additional charge.

Sheepskins, rugs, colourful throws, pillows, cushions and soft lighting adorn the Alachigh for that extra comfort, with drapes between the beds for a little privacy. There is also a sofa bed/settee, a large coffee table/chest (which contains plenty of extra blankets), three bedside tables, a cooking area which contains a gas hob, cooking equipment and all the crockery and cutlery you could possibly want!
