Excellent location Close to village Friendly site teamExcellent facilities

We arrived on the Friday afternoon, checked in with no problems and went to our pod. The site is great! The toilets and showers are immaculate and the staff are so friendly! Great location for walking into the village and beyond. We had an excellent stay and have already booked a return visit!

We stayed in one of the camping pods and were impressed overall. The facilities were spotless throughout our stay. The pod itself was cosy, and a great base for our holiday. The only small downside was that the heater looked a little dirty. The location is lovely and close to everything we needed. Although we stayed in August during a busy period, we were impressed by how peaceful and calm the site felt.One thing we did find less positive about was the toilet and shower facilities. Children seemed to be roaming around in them without adult supervision, which didn’t feel appropriate. As a lone parent/grandparent travelling without a male, my son sometimes felt intimidated using the male facilities when groups of teenagers were in there, yet also felt uncomfortable joining us in the ladies. It would be much better and safer if some changes could be made to ensure that all guests, especially families and lone parents, feel comfortable and secure using the amenities.

I stayed at hillcroft park for 6 days over the bank holiday weekend. I stayed in a camping pod with my 2 children, but went with a lot of my extended family, there was anout 30 of us on total, staying in camping pods/glamping pods/tents and a camper van. We had a brilliant time. The camping pod was really convenient, spacious, with electrical sockets, a heater, private decking and our own picnic bench. The location was stunning, and the facilities were clean, and maintained to an excellent standard. My family have gone every year for the past 6 years or so, but this was my first visit, I was very impressed, and I will definitely return. Big shout out to John, who was super friendly, both him and his wife(im so sorry, i cant remember her name) made us feel so welcome 😊

Had a lovley family gathering and seen beautiful places kids loved the lakes and spent lots of time in the water .the village is lovley lots of places to relax and at night sat round together with barbecue and drinks .overall one of the best camp sites ive stayed ...definitely will be back .

The area the site is in is absolutely stunning, next to a lovely little village. Albeit a tourist trap with prices. But still stunning. The site itself is lovely, fantastic facilities and very well maintained. Pizzas on site and breakfast food from the food truck. Pizza looked fantastic but didn't eat any. We stayed in a basic pod which was fine, it had a balcony which was a little tired with varnish peeling off and a broken spindle but I'm picking holes here. We'd definitely go back, great site beautiful area

We stayed for 2 nights in a camping pod.Staff were so welcoming and polite. Site was beautiful, clean and in a fantastic location.The town was stunning with amazing views of the river. Wish we had booked for longer as still so much to do.

Our first time in the Lake District and certainly won’t be the last. Hillcroft was the perfect site. Everything was looked after to a high standard, the staff were so friendly, especially the wardens. The shower and toilet block were immaculate. We can’t wait to come back!

Great facilities, lovely clean park. Would have liked a campers area such as a small room to use a microwave, kettle as other sites have had this and is useful when having younger children. Pooley bridge has lots of choice for food, necessities . Great location for the lake/activitsuch as paddleboarding. Pizza night is great but would have liked this to be offered on more than a couple.of nights

Would definitely recommend the site for families or couples Even for your self. They don't have to change anything to improve their standards.
