Willow’s Hide, is glamping at it’s finest and would tempt even the most reluctant campers. Sleeping up to 4 adults and 2 children means it is perfect for couples or families that love the camping experience but can’t live without a bit of luxury.
Perched on the bank of Sumners Lake, the outlook and atmosphere of this Safari Tent is unrivalled.
Bi-fold doors on to the decking area allow for stunning views of the lake at all times of the year. The central heating will keep you cosy and warm even in the winter months.
Inside there are two double bedrooms and one cosy “Nest” bedroom perfect for kids and accessed via a small ladder. In addition there is a large, open-plan kitchen and dining area, a cosy living area with a smart-TV, as well as a spacious and modern shower room – it’s hard to remember you’re in a tent!
The kitchen is fully kitted with fridge, cooking equipment, glassware, crockery and cutlery all provided.
Outside there is a large decking with your own tackle and bait shed, a private fishing platform, BBQ, and outside seating.
Use of electric and gas is inclusive, and all the bed linen and towels are provided. Guests will need to bring their own washing up liquid, bin bags etc.
Fishing on Sumners Lake from your platform is included within your stay. Guests are welcome to fish the other lakes which are near-by but will need to purchase a day ticket.
PLEASE NOTE: The accommodation is situated in a bay which allows margin fishing only.

We have stayed at sumner ponds before in a pod and absolutely loved it so we always knew we had to come again and upgrade this time around. We loved every second of it and the space was beautiful. Everything was clean, fully functional and so comfortable. It really did feel like a home away from home. We will definitely be returning again in the future!

My son and I go away once or twice a year on father and son bonding fishing long weekend breaks. To date, Sumners Ponds has always been top of the list of locations for us to visit. We have always stayed in a luxury Safari Tent (Willows Hide) and have found the accommodation to be first class. The staff on site can not do enough to make the stay perfect. Fishing on Sumners Pond itself is included in the price, but none of the other lakes, and includes day and night margin fishing. The onsite café is first class and the reception tackle shop is adequate to get you out of trouble if you need anything. The facilities are second to none. When it comes to value for money, our first stay in Sept 24 cost us £569.00, great value for money. This year our second stay in Sept 25 cost us £625.90 (10% increase) which was palatable. We enjoyed it so much that we then went to re-book for Sept 26, the same weekend, only to find that the cost had risen to £860.00 (37.5% increase). Inflation increas

A very well run relaxing place to stay. Staff are very helpful and friendly, looking forward to repeating another visit next year.

Think Willow's Hide would benefit with some double glazing in the main bedroom with the aerator on the go 24/7, I had issues sleeping. Also might benefit from some form of hanging system on the decking to allow fishing equipment to dry, we left a day early in order to dry as much as possible as we knew we would't be able to get things dry and be out by 10am on the Monday. From the point of a preservation of the path around the Match lake I believe the rule of no vehicles, except Blue badge holders, should be allowed to drive around the lake should be enforced more.

Second time at Sumners great accommodation friendly staff plus a bonus with the weather.Fishing was a let down again and lots of line in trees which I removed myself what I could reach but plenty still in the trees.Probably won't be coming back as a fishing holiday but would come back as a break away.

Have returned to Sumners Ponds every year since I found it many years ago. There are various accommodations to choose from, from bring your tent/caravan/camper to 5* lodges…. And everything in between. The washroom facilities are the cleanest I’ve ever come across on a campsite and the cafe by the lake great. They serve delicious cakes and pastries, a superb breakfast and have a lunch menu and bar. The Queens Head is a short walk away for a quick pint or evening meal. They have two great fenced areas for dogs. (Small fee) There are 5 fishing lakes, catering for all ages and abilities. There many historical places in the surrounding area, the site itself has many walking trails and Brighton is short drive away. The staff are always helpful and on hand throughout the day, with an emergency number for evening times. All in all…. Just a great place to stay.

The bedrooms are very small also we had an issue with the oven which didn’t work properly no indication when it was at the right temperature instruction manual was next to useless Would consider staying at one of the lodges but you can’t book them for a weekend

We had the most amazing weekend at Sumner, lodge was absolutely spotless and had some gorgeous treats upon arrival. We bought some utensils from home to cook with as we weren't sure what was there, but we had absolutely everything we needed. My children loved the little bedroom up the ladder (Willows Hide), we even managed to catch 2 big fish and an endless about amount of small fish while float fishing.Overall a lovely weekend and the weather was gorgeous too, we have booked again to go back next year already!

Can not put into words the impression that Sumners Ponds gives on arrival. The Reception, Shop, Waters Edge Cafe, the accommodation with Welcome Pack are amazing. We are trying to book a return visit. Very dog friendly site that accommodates Lodges, Safari Tents, smaller Pods, camping in tents, Caravans and Motor Home pitches. Local village shop and pub only a short walk from the site.
