The staff at reception were very friendly and informative. Iris Lodge was fully .equipped with every possible appliance. The whole place was spotless and the welcome pack was very good. In addition we found supplies of toilet rolls, washing up liquid/ washing tablets etc.Our party of three were all experienced fishermen and were disappointed that in the week we were only able to catch three fish of anynotable size. It was a week of the heat wave and it was only possible to fish early morning and evenings. While the large carp were couldbe seen just below the surface we could not tempt them to feed on any bait or method. However even without catching fish we enjoyed our break with the excellent facilities and location and especially the relaxing eveningson the top deck.John Baker

We stayed in Iris lodge very clean and tidy welcome pack very good staff very friendly especially Jane in reception that’s the plus points minus points where fishing shed needs bolt adjustments to lock up the fishing deck needs vegetation cut back on right hand side to fishing shed another point is Iris and Lily are your flagship lodges these should be available before 4 o’clock they where still cleaning at 4 o’clock most other fishing rentals are a earlier check in we will definitely come back near future the picture below shows the wrong impression ☹️

We have been coming to Sumners Pond and staying in Iris Lodge for the last few years, although not specifically designed for this, it is ideal for my 90 year old father who comes with us, both dogs love the walks and the Dog Wood was a useful refuge in a very hot week, and also for local family and friends to join us for lunch in the Cafe. The evening food option has made a useful addition to the catering choices. Thanks for a lovely week!

This was a return visit fore us. The lodge was excellent as always. The dog welcome pack was a nice touch. Regardless of the weather it is a relaxing way to spend time. We are booked in again in May. Great local pub.

Beautiful comfortable lodges, perfect for family & friends on a wee holiday away. The staff are lovely and very helpfulLovely area with Horsham just 15 minutes away and a fabulous cafe, local pub with lovely walks all on your doorstep. We are feeling a little sad about all the houses that have been built on the site and miss the cows.

We had a great stay, we walk went as a family and stayed in both Iris lodge and Lily Lodge. The lodges are absolutely beautiful, clean and stylish. The little touches of a homemade cake also was a lovely touch! We had a great stay and made some lovely family memories. The grounds are beautiful where we went for a long walk. There’s so much for everyone to do. There’s lovely walks, a playground for little ones and fishing! We will definitely be staying again next year, we have actually made it an annual family staycation :)

We stayed at Sumners for 3 nights in October 2025, with our dogs as a birthday fishing treat for my partner. I was not only pleasantly surprised with the accommodation, which was lovely and equipped with everything you need, but the really helpful staff on site. Nothing was too much trouble and the facilities for dogs are just as fantastic as the facilities for fishing. I also recommend the delicious meat for sale in the shop on site and the cafe. Loved every bit of our stay and already booked again for next year!
