Food in the restaurant is terrible quality. Restaurant was freezing. Mattress was just springs (you could fold it in half with one hand) so had an uncomfortable sleep leaving my partner in agony. Called reception - no answer left a message but no call back. Called emergency phone and someone said he was on his way. He said he’d do find another mattress by 5pm. came to see us at 3:00pm to offer a mattress topper - not suitable at all and said a mattress wouldn’t fit in van and would have to carry it over in the rain so it would be wet and that would be on us…. Turned up half an hour later with a bed luckily wrapped in plastic so it was dry but It was a double mattress for a king size bed. “Lodge” was not luxury, ripped carpet, dirty walls, lights not working in hot tub. Water in the bath was barely warm. Was told my maintenance heating wouldn’t get any hotter as boiler wasn’t big enough so we’re freezing. No point complaining as no manager rang us back when we complained first time.

I do not recommend this place especially for the price it costs. The cabin looked great on check in but we experienced a lot of issues. No wifi even for our phones, which meant we couldn’t even receive messages due to there also being no signal, the wifi was looked at by staff and we where told its ‘not strong enough’, the tv satellite channels were jumpy so we couldn’t even watch normal tv or put a radio station on. The decking was slippy outside and clearly isn’t looked after. The lights in the dressing room were faulty and too dim so the room couldn’t be used to get ready. Then when we tried to run a bath we had no hot water. The main reason we booked this lodge was for the ‘luxurious’ bath so this was extremely disappointing. We escalated this via email to be told on check out that the mailbox isn’t checked at the weekends. Also requested to pay for a late checkout but apparently you can’t do this on the day like a usual hotel.Disappointed in the customer service and facili

I booked with a view to using the outdoor pool. I specifically mentioned this when booking but obviously nobody read the prebooking comments. Even though it was half term the pool was closed. I met another family who were also looking for the pool, like me they had understood the website information to say the pool world be open. The lodge was quite nice. However no instructions for using equipment. We had to have site staff in to fix the heating and the TV did not work properly. A lot of money to book at half term. I wished I'd have gone elsewhere. Very disappointing. Noting like the website promised.

The lodge itself was immaculate, warm and welcoming even for our four-legged friend. The only downside was a lack of a welcome pack. Potentially the QR code in the kitchen would have had some information, but when the wifi is non-existent then a QR code doesn't really work! The hot tub was warm and ready to use though potentially the jets weren't really working properly, but again who to mention it to? The restaurant staff were lovely and the food was really excellent. It turned out that the restaurant was also the "reception" for the lodges but any mention of issues with the lodges appeared to result in frightened or "no-idea" looks on the staff's faces. We did mention the dodgy/ almost absent wi-fi and was told that it should get better once everyone had checked in?!! Summary: superb lodge, fantastic location in wonderful countryside. We would love to go back for longer and explore the local area more. The nearby "Delicious Cafe" was amazing and a lovely stroll to get

When we arrived we didnt have anyone go through with us about the park, the fire saftey measures emergency contacts etc, got told a lodge number via txt and off we went. got to the lodge unpacked settled in got to know the place. The hot tub was cold, didnt warm up untill gone 10pm, was told on arrival its ready to use etc. The jet wasnt working in the hot tub, the water pipe to hot tub was loose still runing full blast when checked in at 3.30pm and has flooded all around the hot tub grass area, the decking was broken places. slippery with no grips on the flooring if walking to the hot tub, green slippery moss and mold The outside light wasnt working on the deckin area so we couldnt see the hot tub & walking in the dark down the slippery deckin. We had no emergency contact numbers untill we found them in the end and the carbon monoxide alarm kept beeping all night the guy changed batries as faulty but not replaced. Drainage for the bathroom all blocked and flooded but solved....
