Perfect for a short stay on a budget when visiting Alton Towers theme park. The site is located ‘in the middle of nowhere’ a short drive away from the theme park and local houses. The roads to the park are narrow and rural. Not suitable for lowered/modified cars, especially when other road users are coming up/down the road as you are.Staff were absolutely amazing, we arrived an hour early to check in and said we’d happily wait until the pod was ready for us. We waited 20 mins before the lovely lady came to the car gave us the keys. To which we didn’t mind waiting. When we found the pod a maintenance man was cleaning/draining the septic tank/sewer that was right outside the door to our pod, the smell had entered the pod despite the doors and windows being closed. The man apologised for the smell but it didn’t make the stay very pleasant. We also had an issue with the door to the pod as you have to shut the door quite firmly to lock it for the night, the handle was faulty and came of

When arriving in the evening, it was easy to collect our keys but when arriving to the pod it was pitch black no lights we go in and there’s cobwebs and seem to be dog hairs everywhere we then are wanting to eat so we open the cutlery drawer and it all falls through there is an outside light for the pod but it doesn’t work and the fridge was put in a small bit so you have to wobble it to open the door because it’s in a tight space quite disappointed to be honest as they make a point of taking £100 deposit if anything is broken yet we turn up and the light and cutlery drawer is broken. Doesn’t makesense staff were lovely when we got there but then couldn’t go speak to them as we got there then the shop shut and then on checking out we were told to just post our keys so wasn’t able to pass any of this on

Nice, quiet spot to stay with friends and family. Plenty for kids to explore and not far from other attractions like Alton towers, chatsworth house etc. Clean and crispy sheets in pods Highly recommended

This site was easy enough to get to, not too far away from the nearest towns; but far enough away to not have any traffic noises throughout the night, it’s a wonderful camp that’s beautifully spaced out and surrounded by woodlands. We stopped here as we were going to Alton Towers, which was only a 10 minute or so drive away; we also went to local towns for a look-around which was around the same time drive. The accommodation itself was amazing, completely spotless and well presented. The bed was extremely comfy, the TV had a DVD player and also free-view; there was cutlery and pots and pans, all the tableware needed. We will 100% be coming back! :)

Absolutely stunning location. The bluebell pods that we stayed in a nestled in a patch of woodland that absolutely makes the experience. Check-in and out was super easy and the pod had all the facilities you'd expect to make meals, relax and get ready for the day. However, the pod did have a strange smell when we first arrived but the addition of air freshener made it easy to remove.

The accessibility was very easy, we used the self check in which was easy to manage and great for late check in’s. The location of the pods were lovely and a great setup inside. It was close to alton towers only a 15 minute drive so perfect for a day out and stay at this accommodation. It was overall a nice place to stay. The only downfall for the stay was the cleanliness, the sink had webs and a spider in it that looked like it had been there for a while and the corners of the accommodation were also filled with webs. Down the top of the bed in between the gap from the bed to the wall was very dirty and the plates had dust on them, this did let it down slightly but could be improved

On arrival very pleased with the pod, site and information pack, we ordered a takeaway from domino's and the local Indian both arrived within a hour and were very good. Unfortunately our sofa bed didn't work and we were missing bedding for it, the staff were great in assisting with this and we had it sorted within 1/2 hour. We only had an over night stay to break up our journey but would definitely return for a trip to Alton Towers

We stayed 1 night in the bluebell pod ahead of a day trip to nearby Alton Towers (10 minute drive away .). The pod was cosy and had good amenities and we enjoyed a walk around the grounds and a walk to the nearby pub for dinner. I found some of the email correspondence a bit confusing ahead of our stay ( received an email 2 days beforehand saying our arrival was the following day) but no problems in the end. Only other slight gripe was that we couldn't connect to the wireless speaker in the pod. No easy way to connect - the handbook said there was a switch above the kettle, but the only switch was for the oven and the device wasn't visible. I did manage to connect to a pod nearby so they benefited from my music for a short while (apologies!!). Overall a lovely stay but could have been better with some slight improvements.
