3 of us stayed at Hillcroft in July 2026. Right from arriving we were really impressed with the speed and welcome of the reception staff. The lady was excellent who gave us all the information and our pod keys. The pod was clean and everything we expected. The facilities on site were spotless and modern. We will definitely stay again when we get the chance👍

Really nice site, toilet and shower block best ive seen. Really liked the facilities for my pet dog too, dog shower if needed, water bowls around site, hooks to tie them up outside toilet and around pod, which made it easier when been on my own.The only thing id recommend is the tree been trimmed outside of pod, blocked sun, but would mot stop me returning to site.

We love this campsite! Its clean, quiet & has everything you need! We always stay in the camping pods which are great for my little family! It is so safe for my son to go off & play, the new play area is fantastic & there are plenty of spaces for him to play football while we relax! The shower block is really clean & i love the washroom and the shop is stocked for anything you may have forgotten! I would totally recommend this campsite to anyone wanting a relaxing trip!

Lovely friendly staff members, toilet and shower facilities are 10/10 for cleanliness and accessible at all times of the day. Camping pods decking area is in need of some repairs, otherwise really happy with the camping pod.

Came to the campsite to visit with family. Stayed for one night in a camping pod. It was basic with electric and a heater. But fine for what we needed. Facilities were good lovely clean showers and toilets. Was lovely and peaceful too. Didn’t go off site but booked a glamping pod for next year

My only grumble and I do take some responsibilities that it really needs to be much clearer on the website that some of the pods are completely empty.Yes, I should have read the details more carefully. However, after speaking with reception, I was told this is a common mistake that many guests make, not just me. A simple dropdown or clearer booking option showing "Empty Pod" and "Furnished Pod" would help prevent this confusion.I had booked two nights before taking on a challenging 6½-hour swim in Ullswater. Sleeping on the carpet in a hot, empty pod was far from ideal, so I ended up leaving after the first night. Paying £130 to sleep on the floor forwithout being able to cook, eat, or even comfortably relax wasn't one of my better decisions.After completing the swim, I then faced a five-hour drive home because I couldn't face another night with the noise, no bed, flies in the pod, and the lack of basic facilities.Apart from this issue, my feedback is simply that the bo

The site was spot less the toilet block was definately 5* and the staff cleaning them so friendly we stayed in camping pods which were spotless and ideal. Definately value for money

Really nice site! I stayed in a camping pod so knew what to expect with regards to needing to take my own rquipment, but the pod was very clean. Shower facilities and wash space really good especially if you were staying in a tent or a camping pod on the site. Staff were really friendly and chatty, could tell they cared about the site. We had young kids in our party that also made use of the play area which kept them entertained.I would definitely recommed to friends.
