My kids and I had a brief stay in the pods. Clean, well maintained, well equipped and a good size. The site itself is pristine and well maintained. The staff were friendly and very helpful on our arrival. Escorted us straight to the pod and making sure we were settled. The site is a short walk to the town centre. Plenty or places to eat out or takeaway and pick up any last minute essentials. We visited the burger van that came to the site car park on the Tuesday evening. Delicious burgers, hotdog, chips etc. Lots of activities nearby. No more than 30mins drive. Highland wildlife park, landmark adventure park, steam train from broomhill to boat of Garten then onto aviemore, funicular railway on the cairngorms, cairngorm activity centre with laser tag, kayaking to name but a few. The area is steeped in history as well.

I can't comment on the facilities at the site as we did not use any, however the staff at reception were very helpful and the campsite was well presented and tidy.I was a bit disappointed with the pods, not the actual pod, as it was spacious & beautifully appointed, but the lack of privacy at our pod. Our one was 2nd from the end, so was at an angle to the one next at the end of the row. This meant there was absolutely no privacy, and there was nothing to distinguish the space attached to each pod. The road to the pods runs right past the front door & the bench for sitting and eating was at the far side of the road. A fenced area around each one might be helpful. When you spend this amount of money, you would at least expect a bit of privacy. They also face onto the football pitch, again increasing your lack of privacy, and increased noise.

Grantown-on-spey caravan park is beautifully kept and every amenity is spotless. The location is wonderful and there are many beautiful loch and hills to walk and villages to visit. The Lapwing Pod we rented was immaculate inside with a shower room and toilet which was pristine. Lovely location and friendly staff too. First time in a Lapwing Pod - it has everything you need for a trip to the countryside!

Needs a oven if it's possible. I bought oven food and had to give it to my family lol. Black out blinds too as the light (obviously it's summer) and an extra table outside as there was one too little for the amount of pods x
