We booked two nights in a Pod at short notice and were not disappointed, we enjoyed our short stay and will certainly be back again next year for a weekend or more. My only negative feedback is that this site does not offer single night stays for campervans with electricity - this is a deal breaker for many of our multi-location activity weekends where we need to stay in different locations for single nights.Overal: I highly reccomend this Site for weekend or multi-day stays.As a bonus, there are a couple of great pubs on the doorstep. 2nd visit ti Churchstile and will definitely be back again.Staff are lovely,shop is not over priced and has lovely local meats ,cheese as well as all the things you always forget.Toilets and showers are clean and a shirt walk from all pitches.Pitches for our van are a good size.This year we had a pod it was great still doing the camping but in a nice dry warm pod.Perfect location for a walk to Wast Water lake.Also just down the road is Thd Sawmill shop and cafe with lovely food and special things to buy.Can highly recommend Churchstile.We look forward to returning.

It was a return visit to Church Stile. The pod was very clean and so were the toilet/ shower facilities. However the pods next door appear to have been taken over by a very large family ( 4 adults? 4 children? 2 dogs) and they were quite noisy and the children were playing around our pods with a ball etc. The site was not as quiet as we remembered it.

We do vet all our groups including family groups so they are aware of the site rules about noice etc, Its a shame this was not brought to one of the wardens attention while you were on site so we could have delt will the issue at the time.

This is my 3rd stay at churchstile. Staff are very friendly and helpful.The pod I stayed in, pod 2, had no gravel path and parking for this particular pod was opposite as opposed to the other 2 pods having parking alongside. As no gravel path and wet ground, my feet were quite soggy walking with belongings from the car...a couple of bags of stone down to create a path to the door would be beneficial? A fly net at doors would be great!Showers themselves were reasonably clean however above the entrance inside above the window, full of dead flies and biddies! Showers could have been hotter but warm enough, the push button system for the Showers saves on water wastage but you do have to keep pushing the button every 20 seconds or so. Annoying.Surrounding area is beautiful. Very scenic with couple of pubs and a coffee shop nearby. But that's about it. Nearest shop approx 6 miles away.Shop on site is well stocked but quite pricey for some things...bread £3! Cigarettes 100%

What a wonderful holiday and site! my son and I really enjoyed our stay here. Great facilities that were clean and modern, wonderful camping pod and friendly staff!Pod was fantastic and everything we needed and more as the weather changed we could stay dry and relax.I appreciated the spacing around the site with tents and people - I know that it is not peak season yet so that is a factor. Coming from Reading by car - it is a journey for sure; which is the only reason to hesitate for a swift return. if there were areas to improve and expand on I would say to expand your website to allow people to know the diverse selection of wonderful items in the shop. The only criticism I would say was I felt it was a bit steep for the nightly rental of fire pit and wood, especially with unpredictable weather but I appreciate it is our choice to rent or not.Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would totally recommend the site, the location, the local area - and renting a pod! Really enjoyed our stay here, cleaning/toilet facilities were of a great standard and the location was perfect. We stayed in a camping pod which was great - very well insulated and heater heats the place up very quickly if need be. Was peaceful with plenty privacy and great amenities whilst still feeling far enough away from busy life. Parking right next to all of the pitches/pods too. The shop on site has mostly any items you'd need in an emergency. Plenty nice walks and a great pub near by.

We spent the weekend in one of the pods. There was 3 of us and plenty of room. They are really warm too. We slept with the window open.Great facilities round the campsite and a well stocked shop

Excellent stay in beautiful campsite with excellent friendly staff

Perfect campsite set is a beautiful location. The staff are really lovely and helpful. The site is spotless with a convenient shop. There are two nice pubs just outside the campsite. The only downfall was there is zero signal but perfect if you want some peace and quiet.
