Buckland Campsite is located in the village of Nottington, only a short drive from the famous golden sands of Weymouth bay, the Isle of Portland, home of the 2012 Olympic Sailing Events, the famous Jurassic Coast and the historic county town of Dorchester, you will always have something to discover and do!

Here at Buckland Campsite in Dorset you can enjoy a tranquil break in your own exclusive furnished Bell Tent near Weymouth Bay and located in the heart of the rolling hills of the countryside.

Your bell tent will be cleaned and ready for when you arrive - all you need to add is bedding. There are four inflatable beds which can be connected to make doubles, sleeping up to four people, for a comfortable glamping break.

The great features of the glamping bell tents are that they are already pitched on arrival, removing the hassle from camping and allowing for a later arrival if perhaps you are coming for the weekend after work.

There are power sockets, great for charging your phones or running an electric cool box whilst retro furnishings make for a unique experience of glamping on the Jurassic Coast, Dorset.

Only down side the beds are slats and us being on the bigger side we got air beds but everything else was perfect Just a suggestion somewhere to do washing up down near bell tents would be helpful

Enjoyed our stay..

We had a nice time away in the furnished bell tent. Although the pics on the website make it look a little more spaced out from your neighbours. We were a little bit disappointed that the bell tents are opposite a very busy kids play area. If you sit outside, you frequently are having footballs kicked towards you. Although our little one loved the play area so its good for the kids. The toilet/bathroom facilities were great, very clean, could not fault.

Amazing stay

We had a lovely stay! The only negative is that the smoke detector kept randomly going off I assume due to low battery, we reported it to the site team and they quickly resolved it the next morning! The beds were comfy and had very soft mattresses. There were bugs in the tent and it looked like it could do with a hoover. We had pizza from the van onsite and it was delicious!! Overall the campsite is great, we slept well and had a lovely stay!

I was there with friends and family for the third time in the last five years and was not disappointed a bit with my decision. All the families in our group loved the site and the hospitality of the site staff and services provided. Other campers were also very friendly. I would come again next year and recommend the site to everyone.

We recently stayed at buckland campsite and first impressions were good but when we went to use our toilet facilities attached to the bell tent our electrics were off and we had to access behind to turn facilities on then every time we used toilet it leaked very badly that we had to put towels down then when we went to have a shower we had no hot water as again the boiler had not been turned on before our arrival We loved our stay but only criticism was the football nets infront of our bell tent . We constantly had balls rolling in to our car and tent by guests kids . We also didn’t have a lot of privacy as the kids also playing around the bell tents early in the mornings whilst we was in bed I would stay at buckland in my own tent but I wasn’t a fan of the bell tent position that we was given

Great value for money. Amnesties were amazing. Do clean and tidy.We loved the Elm pub and visited Bridport which is really worth a visit. Great Wednesday market. Durdle Dor was a little busy in the summer holiday and Lyme Regis was terrible to park.Weymouth was good fun. Nice pubs.Portland Bill is worth a visit and crab sandwich was gorgeous in their restaurant. Maybe worth booking in the summer holiday.

Lovely little campsite, my family and I stayed in one of the glamping tents. The beds were very comfy and the bedding was clean and perfect for the conditions both my daughter's slept well. We had a separate shower and toilet block with the tent as part of the glamping package, this was clean and adequate. Shower was nice and warm, and the toilet was a welcome convenience in the night and first thing in the morning. Our tent was we spaced out nicely from other tents allowing space to relax and enjoy the fire pit provided with logs on arrival.

Friendly staff, clean facilities and well run.Quiet site with nice simple play areas in game room and shop.Bell tents were excellent. Comfortable beds, good size, nice seating, clean/excellent private bathroom unit. Kids loved firepit with wood provided. Nice location in countryside but close enough for short drive to seafront or park and ride.

Perfect except for nighttime lighting

Absolutely love this place!First time glamping and definitely not the last.Great facilities, peaceful, amazing staff.Only downside for us was the outside light on the glamping ensuite facilities. Light came on at 9pm and stayed on all night which shone brightly into the tent. Was like sleeping with the lights on!I can not fault anything else but was significant enough for us to consider other options.
