Mabel is one of our Shepherd Huts, handcrafted in our workshop to provide self catering, glamping accommodation for two adults. Mabels decking area and rear garden have been gated off however the external photos haven't been updated to reflect this yet.
Mabel has a wrap around decking to the front with a bistro set and views looking out towards Filey Bay and across the donkey field out to open countryside.
Inside is a king sized bed with bedding and blankets, private shower room, 5amp plug sockets and kitchen area with two ring gas hob, fridge, stove kettle, crockery and cooking utensils. Her dining area looks over the donkey field and is the perfect place to have breakfast with a view. Mabel also has a wood burning stove, the crackling fire provides the ideal back drop for cosy nights in playing cards.
To the rear of Mabel is a wood fired soaking tub which provides the perfect place to relax after long days walking the coastal path.
After your journey just light the wood burner and pour yourself a drink whilst the water heats, this takes between 1 to 2 hours depending on how hot you burn the stove, once your tub is up to temp just stir with the giant paddle and sink into the relaxing warm water. Its a truly special experience creating the fire that heats your tub.
Minimum 2 night stay except for bank holidays which is a minimum of 3.
We're a small, family run glamping site located on our family farm at Reighton Gap near Filey, North Yorkshire with no two units the same and all having been loving restored or handcrafted in our workshop by my dad. On site we have a communal games barn and dog agility course. Our location makes us the perfect base for exploring the beach or walking the King Charles III coastal path with access to the route at the top of our field. We're located 5 miles away from Filey and the coastal towns of Bridlington and Scarborough are both within 11 miles.
