The lodge itself was worth the money and it was very nice, well equipped, The downfall to this break was we paid a considerable amount more than tents per night, and they’d been placed very close to the lodge. The one that was placed close was very disruptive they were been so loud until 2am /2:30am to the point were I got out of bed on our first night and told them they were been disrespectful. It was my birthday the next day and I was absolutely shattered it ruined it. Same happened the second night so I complained to the office the next morning and explained I’d told them myself the first night and they needed to do something about it and all I got as a reply was I did my walk around at 11, nothing else come of it, and I feel abit disappointed as a young single mum I’d saved to take my daughter away and 2 of the 3 nights none of us slept. We enjoyed the bar, bingo & the food vans! Real good ideas and good vibes. We went to the lakes and villages close and woke up to the c

We stayed in a star gazer lodge. Cleverly designed and furnished beautifully it was a lovely and peaceful place to stay. My family loved the fields surrounding us, the facilities and the goats. Just a short drive to the lake district too...with a hot tub waiting for our return.

Our stay in the stargazer lodge was incredible! Staff were friendly and helpful! The lodge its self was beautiful, comfortable and practical. We loved that it was very quiet and peaceful, there were other lodgers next door to use but we could hardly hear them and nearly forgot they were there! The break away was just what we needed thank you! Only feedback would be that the skylight for stargazing was dirty so we couldn’t see out of it.

Me, my partner and our dachshund had a wonderful stay Easter weekend in the star gazing lodge. The host were 10/10. Very welcoming and helpful. A card and bottle of wine was left as a welcome gift and the hot tub was ready to go when we arrived. The lodge was exceptionally clean and tidy with all essential things thought about and included. The only thing I would have like to have been included would have been a sweeping brush for the floors and outside. The dust pan and brush was a little too small for this job.The bathroom was a fantastic size and both beds and sofa bed were great to sleep on. It was a lovely home away from home and the surroundings were fantastic. There was a wedding in the main ground on the Saturday. This didn’t disturb our stay. We didn’t use the bar facilities but bought a pizza from the van which was delicious. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this to our friends and family.

Fabulous setting and viewsBeds really comfyKitchen facilities everything we neededOnsite facilities were closed due to being out of seasonDoor was really hard to lock and having arthritis in my hands meant I couldn't do itBlinds needed on the window above doorsPersonal preference to have blackout blinds in the lodge, early sunrise meant all the family were awake too early Sofa bed didn't work properlyExternal tap needed to refill hot tub to alleviate the need for staff to enter lodge

A lovely place a little outside of the Lakes but not too far away that you can't drive back in. Accommodation was clean, well thought out and overall really very good. We had a very slight issues with bedding not being clean but this was quickly resolved with a new set being dropped off.

Lovely area, we were fortunate there was no tents on the field by the star gazer lodge. We both commented that the hot tub might have felt a bit over looked with people passing by etc if the camp field was in use. Lodge was lovely and clean and enclosed garden ideal for our young dog

The Stargazer pod was very well equiped had everything needed My only sugesstion would be to put the spare bedding for the sofa into the sofa box as there was no room in the wardrobe to put our clothesWould have liked to have more in the shop to buy ie fresh fruit, milk, bread eggs so onThe staff were very helpful and friendly recommening local pubs and places to goDid the woodland walk very calming although still very wet in placesAnimals were sweet and the playparks for the children were goodShower blocks, although did not use, seemed very good A new one is just being built where we were stayingPlenty of rubbish bins which was good

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blaithwaite house! We booked a stargazer pod which was a lovely little space to stay for the week. My son loved the mezzanine level and it felt like just enough space for 3 of us. The outside area was idyllic, lovely swing seat to enjoy the evenings and the hot tub was great after walking in the lakes.Main negative was that there was no air conditioning and we were there on the hottest day. They did provide a small fan but an upgrade to air con would be amazing. The grounds it’s self was lovely. We enjoyed playing mini golf! Whilst it could do with some TLC and updating, the extra bumps and holes just added to our fun and laughter. The goats also kept us entertained and we loved using the green space for tennis and football.
