Stayed in the pod with outside jacuzzi. Had the perfect relaxing time. Owers were so helpful and nice. The pod had everything you needed. Definitely recommend Barrhill and will be back

Thanks for the great review! Unfortunately we just couldn't justify a shop on site, there is a great wee shop in the village just 1 mile away that's quite well stocked and does hot & cold food. Phil and Laura

We had a lovely 2 night stay in the podA storm was forecast for when we were there but I think it missed usWe had lovely walks at glen troll the cafe there was amazingWe had a shower and toilet in the pod so couldn’t comment on the toilet blockThe cook house was great everything you needed if you didn’t bring your own stuff or forgotten something The hot tub was lovely and clean great for relaxing in after a long walk

We recently stayed in one of the pods at this quiet campsite, and it was exactly what I needed. The pod was clean, warm, and surprisingly spacious, with a comfy bed and just enough amenities to feel at home without losing the rustic charm.What really stood out was the peace and quiet. Virtually traffic noise, no loud neighbours, just the occasional breeze through the trees. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind, read a book, or just sit outside with a cup of tea and do nothing (in the best way).The site itself is well-maintained, with spotless bathrooms and helpful staff who clearly care about the place. The hot tubs are a great bonus too! If you’re after a low-key, relaxing break, I can’t recommend this place enough.

Perfect if you would like peace and quiet away from towns. Easy to find, cabin was nice and clean. Hot tub was amazing, we loved sitting in it in the evenings. If you don’t mind the drive Stranraer is nice to visit, it’s a little difficult to find places to eat due to where the location is but a great stay.

CoolPods with lovely hot tub!! The only two things I would recommend for improving are- better curtains, ours didn’t fully cover the front door windows so there was gaps so didn’t feel totally private. Also I’ve stayed in various pods across Scotland and all have been supplied with some things such as bedding, cutlery and utensils. There was some in cook house but they were dirty in the cupboards
