The Conwy glamping site of Waenfechan Glamping has two luxury hideaway pods for lucky sorts to seek seclusion at, set among the spectacular scenery of Snowdonia's mountains, the Conwy estuary and the Great Orme... and each pod has its own hot tub for highly scenic soaks.
It's a mighty peaceful setting among these mighty mountain and sea views, but within easy reach of supplies, shops and the seaside for guests craving closeness to amenities: Conwy town and the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno are both within 20 minutes. Or you could give the car a rest and set off out on local ambles such as the Hiraethlyn Walk's three and a half-mile circular route just outside the site, around the National Trust's Bodnant Garden a mile and a half away – or to the village pub for drinks and evening meals.
Waenfechan Glamping is on a family-run farm, with the self-contained glamping pods set on one of its quietest and most wildlife-friendly spots. The pods were all newly built in 2018 and come with pull out sofa bed with luxury bed linen; heating and electricity included; a smart TV; a shower room and a small kitchenette.
The outside decking area is, perhaps best to utilise when you're still steaming from the hot tub, wrapped in your fluffy dressing gown, and pouring a tasty aperitif against the Welsh sunset...

We only stayed one night as this was a 'shakedown trial' for my campervan after an extended period off the road. I stayed in my van on one of the basic electric pitches, and my friend in one of the hideaway pods and both were excellent. I'm not a hot tub person but if you are, they have camping pitches with hot tubs too, which looked too be really well thought out.Facilities were excellent with toilets and showers but also access to little touches like a washing machine and tumble dryer, a microwave and a hair dryer, plus a decent little shop in reception that seemed to cover all of the essentials and a few niceties as well. The location is stunning, looking across the Conwy Valley to the Carneddau mountains, close to Conwy and Betws y Coed, and walking distance from the world famous Bodnant Gardens (though the walk back involves some considerable uphill work).I'll definitely be staying again and will happily recommend the site to anyone looking for a quiet, restful stay.

I took my partner here for a 40th Birthday treat, and a few days away to relax after the Birthday celebrations. We were blown away by the place and didn't want to leave . We will definitely return again next year. It was so peaceful and just beautiful. The weather definitely helped, couldn't of had a better weekend.

The hideaway pods were clean and we'll equipped and the hot tub was fab. The setting is peaceful and relaxing and the views were beautiful. The balloons and rose petals were a lovely touch. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The nearest shop is about a 15 min drive but the onside shop has every you might need. There was a small disposable bbq provided. I would definitely recommend visiting here and will be going back soon myself.

We arrived at the pod and it was very clean and prepared for us, the hot tub was an amazing addition. The views from the pod were unreal and Conwy was only around a ten minute drive from where we was. Great value for money, plenty to do around in the area. Would definitely return!

Lovely Night Away! Our accommodation was spotless. When we arrived the hot tub was on ready to use lovely and hot. Our pod was so warm when we arrived heater on and the fire was a lovely touch made it so cosy. We had access to netflix and prime on the tv inside our pod which was an added bonus and the view was amazing. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits was nice and we were even provided with towelling robes which was great. We loved the little handbook too. So thoughtful we would definitely return.

Wonderful site, stunning views of the Welsh countryside even as far as the Great Orme and Llandudno bay. Private and clean, really nice place for a short stay for some peace and quiet.

The surroundings here are the main selling point. So peaceful & quiet. To sit in the hot tub looking out over beautiful countryside, with nothing but the sound of the odd sheep, is something close to bliss. The perfect unwind if you have a busy life. The pods feel so private as well, with enough space between them that nobody is looking in on your space. Inside the square pods that we stayed in is very cosy, but you have everything you need. The fact they've even thought of dressing gowns is a level of detail you don't always get, but definitely appreciate. I wouldn't bring too much stuff with you though or you may struggle a little for space.Towels and bedding are there. All you need are a few clothes and some food.

We stayed last weekend and OMG!!! What a way to recharge, relax and simply chill. The welcome was very warm and friendly. The pod was immaculate and the bed was super comfy. There are no words to describe the view....amazing, stunning and beautiful just don't cut it. We loved it so much, we're back again this weekend :).
