We come every year in August in memory of my mum who passed away. We have an amazing time every time we come and have booked for next year already

For the price you can't really argue with it. However there were a few safety concerns for families - the decking around the pod was rotten through in places and had screws protruding, the metal on the decking wasn't also fully secured which was sticking up and sharp. In the pod, the cord for the blinds wasn't fixed to the wall and was at a dangerous height for children. Again, it is a budget option, however the addition of a couple of hooks or shelves would be really useful in such a small space. Wasn't certain if water in pod was drinkable, no signs around indicating either way but wasn't always clear. There was recycling on site for glass only. Positives - pod clean, surroundings quiet, showers free (bring flipflops) and has a hairdryer. Softplay was well maintained & appeared clean. Didn't try food. The little shop was reasonably priced and included essentials you might have run out of.
Extremely frustrating review. Most of your concerns/issues could have been resolved with a call to reception and a maintenance visit of no more than 10 minutes.I think you'd always assume water safe to drink unless otherwise stated or again you could have asked ..... ?You've stated twice that its reasonably/budget priced and then expected/reviewed like a five star hotel. Your own lack of communication with your issues seriously impacted on the enjoyment of your stay. Perhaps something to consider when you're visiting somewhere else. Thanks.

We come every year to the pods as a big group of friends with 11 kids between us (aged 4-13years) and we just love it. Staff are friendly, a lovely atmosphere, really clean & tidy especially the shower/toilet block, and the bar and club house is Fab. The site is the perfect size for the kids to have some freedom at the park while still being able to keep an eye on them. We’ve booked already for next summer as no surprise, it books up fast!
Thank you for your lovely review, see you all next year :)

We had a fantastic time at uupwoods as a girly weekend with our daughters. The place was clean, staff our very friendly. We went into Haworth and did some beautiful pottery painting. Only criticism I would give is there is no seating area's without dogs. My daughter is terrified of them. So it was a struggle to get her to stay for eating our meal. She also couldn't go in the play area because someone had there dog in there (on a lead) but was right outside the soft play area.I know not everyone is scared of dogs. But it would be just nice to have the option for somewhere there was no dogs.

The only things I would improve on is the sofa bed in the mega pods. It was very dated and really uncomfortable to sleep on. Also the play park would be better with more benches for parents to sit and supervised their children.Other than this, it is a beautiful park. Especially the shower facilities, they were immaculate and was a bonus to have a rainfall shower. The surrounding areas are an amazing visit. I will most likely be returning.
Thanks for feedback. Funny you should mention sofa beds....... We are currently awaiting del from Ikea of some new ones :) Glad you enjoyed your stay

This is the second time we have stayed in the mega pods. We have 2 children aged 4 & 2, they thoroughly enjoyed their time here and so do we. The mega pod has a mini fridge/ freezer, a microwave, kettle and sink. You need to remember your cutlery, plates, bedding, towels etc and don't forget the bedsheet for the pull out sofa bed. One bedsheet is provided for the main double bed. It's a £10 deposit for the key. There is a small TV, a table and also a radiator for cold nights. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. The showers, soft play, restaurant, park and surrounding areas are always spotlessly clean. The showers are also free to use. We will be returning next year.
Thank you very much for your informative reviewSee you all next year :)
