Overall we did enjoy our stay due to the location however we would not stay again as the Kabina was very dusty and I am allergic to dust. Also I had 5 minutes of hot water in the shower then it was cold, there is no heating in the bathroom so I ended up shivering due to the cold shower and cold bathroom which wasn’t pleasant. The food from the pizza shack was nice, we enjoyed our pizzas and breakfast, he could do with having a vegetarian breakfast option though as all I could eat were the hash browns. We loved seeing the chickens come for a visit in the morning, the fire pit and seating area is a good addition but it does lack privacy.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.I’m really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the location, the pizzas and breakfast from the Pizza Shack, and that the chickens made their usual friendly morning visit – they are certainly very popular with guests.I’m sorry to hear that the Kabina felt dusty during your stay. Cleanliness is something we take very seriously, so I will pass this feedback directly to our housekeeping team to ensure everything is being checked thoroughly.Regarding the shower, the Kabinas are supplied by a hot water cylinder and guests should normally have considerably longer than five minutes of hot water, so this sounds unusual. I will ask our maintenance team to check the system to make sure everything is working as it should.Just to mention as well, the Pizza Shack does offer several vegetarian breakfast options including vegetarian sausages, eggs, hash browns and pastries, although I’m sorry if this wasn’t clear during your visit.I’m glad you enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor seating area, and that the chickens paid you a visit. The Kabinas are positioned within the natural woodland setting of the site, which many guests enjoy as part of the natural setting, although I appreciate that privacy preferences can vary from guest to guest. While I’m sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations, it’s good to know there were still elements of the experience that you enjoyed.Thank you again for your feedback and for staying with us.

I recently stayed in Kabina 2 at The Hideaway at Baxby Manor as a family staycation for my mum's birthday and we absolutely loved it! We woke up each morning to sunshine and birdsong and loved sitting out on the private terrace drinking our morning coffee and eating our breakfast. We explored the local area (highly recommend a visit to Roseberry Topping in the North York Moors) and spent the afternoons in the hot tub before taking advantage of the pizza shack on site and then spending our evening around the campfire. It was the break we all needed to switch off from our fast-paced lives and slow down and be present in nature. The Kabina was perfect for an adult family of four and we wouldn't hesitate to book again! We miss it already!

We had a wonderful weekend in one of the kabinas. Seriously impressed by the facilities inside the little hut. Everything was high quality. Barney is an excellent host and very welcoming. And we have to give a mention to the wonderful food at the pizza shack. The whole weekend was super peaceful and relaxing and we didn’t want to leave.

The kabina was excellent accommodation, perfectly clean and well appointed. The hot tub was exceptional and certainly was welcomed by us. The very friendly staff delivered pizza and breakfast straight to the door which was a very pleasant extra at such a site, one we weren't expecting. The directions on the website were easy to follow and we were given info of a nice little 2 mile walk we could do in the surrounding area which was fabulous. Very good value for money all in all for what was a very memorable stay. My only constructive feedback is maybe just a couple of complementary logs and kindling for the price that you pay, some families may fancy just to start the fire to toast some marshmallows and may not need to go through too many. Not a criticism at all and certainly wouldn't stop me from recommending this lovely place to others

We are a family of three children and stayed for a weekend in the Kabina Grande for my husband’s birthday. Everything was perfect. The Kabina itself is beautiful and so comfortable, it had everything we needed and more. My husband and I agreed we had the best nights sleep in a long time, the bed was so cosy and comfortable. The private hot tub and fire pit were highlights and the luxury of having fresh pizza delivered to your door was the cherry on top! A great stay for families, we will definitely be back!

We've been many times over the years to Baxby Manor and treated ourselves again to staying in one of the Kabina's! Really nice campsite, quiet and relaxing. Good couple of pubs a short walk away. The pizza's on site are not to be missed.

This is our second stay, this time we stayed in kabina 2 for 2 nights with our 2 children, with friends staying in a hoglett house at the same time. Facilities are excellent on the site- we had our own bathroom but did use the communal showers and they were pristine. The pizza shack is great- pizzas delicious and coffee ok too. Good range of bits in the shop incase you have forgotten something (marshmallows, pasta, wine etc) and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There is a really good children’s park within a ten minute walk and a (pricey) pub, river to splash in and walk along. The kabina was fab- we will definitely stay in one again (the hot tub was a big hit with the kids!) the super king bed with wraparound windows were lovely to lie in! a we got a tripod and all the bits to make a fire (I’d recommend bringing own wood as it’s is a bit expensive at £11 a bag and we went though a lot!) Can’t really fault anything at all though- we will come back for sure
