Your perfect holiday awaits in beautiful County Wicklow.

Nestled in stunningly beautiful County Wicklow, Ireland, River Valley Camp, Caravan & Glampsite is the perfect choice whether you are a Family with Children seeking a Family Camping Holiday destination with fun and activities, or a couple seeking a holiday with a little peace and quiet.

Due to careful planning our Holiday Park is laid out in such a way that families with kids get to be near great amenities like for example crazy golf, kids camps, petting zoo, pool tables, remote control cars & boats, tiny tots playgrounds etc.

According to Wikipedia, Glamping is described as a style of camping with amenities not usually associated with “traditional” camping. Glamping has become particularly popular with 21st-century tourists seeking the escapism and adventure recreation of camping but who do not fancy giving up all their home comforts!

Here at River Valley Glamping in Wicklow, Ireland, we offer a great choice of Glamping accommodation options.

Our Glamping Maxilodges (5 available for hire) can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 children (but one child should be younger than 7 – as there is a shorter bed). Ideal for family glamping in Ireland, this unit provides a safe and comfortable alternative to camping and is fully insulated!

Each Maxilodge contains one double bed, two single beds, and a little bed that will sleep a child up to the age of 7, a picnic table, small fridge, kettle, microwave, lights and heater. If you are renting a Glamping lodge, then you must supply your own sleeping equipment such as pillows, sleeping bags, linens, duvets and towels. There are NO bathrooms or kitchens in the glamping lodges. The amenity block is just steps away, which provides toilets, showers, sinks, laundry, camper’s kitchen, etc.

Be sure to bring with you for your glamping trip in Ireland: your own bedding– pillows, sleeping bags/duvets, fitted sheets, (bring a king size fitted sheet for the double bed) duvet covers, pillow cases – whatever you use; Towels and tea towels; and Dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. Cutlery and crockery can be rented in the office for €10.00 plus a refundable deposit of €20.00 if needed.

Whilst staying in this glampsite in Ireland you can truly appreciate the Wicklow countryside and mountains as you are under an hour from Wicklow Mountains National Park as well as take in the beautiful Irish coast at Brittas Bay Beach, only a very short, 15 minute drive away.

We decided to combine a visit to Dublin with camping at River Valley. While we didn’t spend enough time onsite to really explore the facilities we can say we were very happy with how the site was laid out, our Maxilodge was clean and spacious, the toilets and wash facilities were clean and worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

"We love River Valley!!"

But it was extremely dirty. Our outside decking area, bbq area was full of bird poo and cobwebs. This should be powerhosed once a week at least, there are not many lodges so it would not take that long. Our outside porch light also didnt work. Overall i found the maxilodge very dirty, it had not seen a sweeping brush or a wipe of a cloth in a long time. The toilet facilities are clean on the surface, but look up to the windows and they are full of dust and dirt Great campsite, great facilities but cleanliness not high on the list of priorities and considering its 95 for a night it is not cheap. I would really encourage river-valley to invest in weekly cleaners as I would recommend friends to stay as we did enjoy it but to not expect much in way of cleanliness which is fine when your actually camping in a tent but if your paying to "glamp" i 100% expect it to be clean.I was not comfortable eating our BBQ out on that area and come nightime we had no light so sat in pitch black.
