The Retreat

Inside, you’ll find a stunning interior, inspired by the soft textures and earthy tones of the surrounding countryside. The yurt is lined with traditional sheep-wool felt and overlaid with silk, all lashed together and set upon a raised wooden platform that offers sweeping views across the rolling hills.

Whether you are watching the sunset or waiting for our resident Pipistrelle bats to begin their evening dance, the view from Pipistrelle Nook is unmatched.

Warmth & Ambience

Even on a misty Spring night, Pipistrelle Nook is a haven of warmth. You can stoke the wood-burning stove (logs and fire guard provided) or click on the electric heater for instant comfort. The space is beautifully lit with a mix of fairy and electric lighting, creating a magical glow as the stars come out.

Your Private Living Space

The Dining Cabin: Just steps from your yurt is your fully enclosed, private Dining Cabin. Featuring its own wood-burning stove, it’s the ultimate "indoor-outdoor" space for long dinners and late-night chats—no matter the British weather!

The Kitchen: Located within 5 metres of your yurt, your private kitchen is fully equipped with an electric mini-oven, fridge-freezer, and all the crockery and cookware you need to whip up a local feast.

Private Washroom: No "roughing it" here. You have your own well-appointed washroom featuring an instant hot shower, flushing toilet, and fresh hand towels a short walk from the yurt.

Outdoors: To fully enjoys the views of nature, there is an outside seating area with charcoal barbecue and fire pit, complete with marshmallow forks for toasting.
