Smytham Holiday Park in North Devon is set in 23 acres of parkland adjoining the old Manor House, which is still used as a family home. We’ve got a selection of self-catering holiday accommodation, from traditional camping and caravanning pitches to timber lodges, glamping pods, and holiday homes.

Camping in luxury, our Log Glamping Pods let you enjoy the fun and adventure of camping with all its benefits, but without the stress of putting up a tent, flapping wet canvas or having to dry a went tent at home. These glamping pods in South West England are the ideal accommodation for a short break, whatever season you’re heading to North Devon.

Made in the UK with wood from sustainable sources, these environmentally friendly camping pods provide dry, snug, secure and spacious shelter. Each has a double glazed window and door and insulated walls and floor, designed to keep you warm in the winter yet cool in summer.

The glamping pod provides dry, snug, secure and spacious shelter. All you need to bring with you is your normal camping gear but not the tent. Pods are equipped with electric lighting, sockets & a heater, Barbeque outside and 4’ deep covered deck area. This Escape pod sleeps up to 2 adults for convenient glamping in Devon.

For the cyclists among us this is the ideal location for glamping along The Tarka Trail, one of the country's longest continuous traffic-free walking and cycling paths, taking you through some of our county’s most beautiful countryside.

Whilst here why not visit some of our local attractions such as Dartington Crystal in Great Torrington Town. There is also plenty to keep the kids entertained; you have access to vast outdoor space for running about and playing games. There is an indoor games room with a pool table, air hockey, table tennis and football tables. Why not take a dip in the outdoor solar-heated pool and then dry off on the sun terrace before lighting the barbeque outside your glamping pod and watching the sun set under your covered deck area.

New wash block has just opened, and amazing showers! Lovely vibe, very relaxed, even though completely full. Located in middle of tarka trail for cycling access, easy cycle to bideford. Camping pods are great & easy option. Only comment is they could do with a couple of hooks by door, and a couple of small shelves, that would've been useful? Woodfire pizza van visit very nice. We had the most perfect stay - thank you smytham!

We had just been camping for 5 weeks around the Irish Wild Atlantic Way, so the ease of use, wind and rain proofness were welcome. You need to take everything except camp bed and mattress. There are two wooden folding chairs and a wooden folding table of good quality. We enjoyed it and would stay again.

His pod was very basic...not even a hook to hang his coat or a shelf for his bits...everything had to be on the floor. I don't think we will be returning to this site.
