Roseland is situated in the beautiful surroundings of Canada Hill at the top of The Serpentine above the town of Rothesay. There are outstanding views of the bay and the hills and sea lochs of the Cowal peninsula. We are the only official campsite on the island and are an ideal base for all the facilities that Bute has to offer.

Just had a fab short golf break staying in the Roseland glamping pods. We could walk to the Rothesay golf course from the pod and then have a pint afterwards in lovely surroundings which included three visiting deer! Two other golf course only a short drive away with views to die fro. At the end of the day a shletered BBQ shed and a lovely picnic table to welcome us back to our wee pod in the sun...perfect.

The park is located in a central part of the Isle of Bute with an overview on Rothesay. It is a very convenient location allowing to remain close to local amenities but at the same time giving impression of leaving civilization behind. Views from the site are stunning, especially during sunsets. We were not seeking for entertainment or on-site activities during our stay, so we are very pleased with quietness of the surrounding area. We stayed in glamping pod that has everything we needed during our stay. If it was up to me I would even remove TV from pods, but apart o that there are fridge, microwave and kettle available to use in each pod. The shower and toilets are located very close to 4 glamping pods, which are available on the site. These are maintained very well and always seem to be very clean. As a family with young child we would not get bored on the Isle of Bute as there are plenty of places to explore and amazing beaches. I would strongly recommend taking time an explore places such as the West Island Way, especially southern part with the lighthouse. I would definitely be back at some point in near future.

I found the pod clean and tidy and it was great to have a fridge, microwave and kettle. My husband really appreciated the small TV! The toilets/showers were clean but this was the first time I have used a mixed male/female toilet and shower block but as the site was lovely and quiet it didn't prove a problem. The showers cost £1 and were warm and lasted for five minutes. We really enjoyed our stay and would most definitely visit again. Lovely views and close to town perfect for families.
