The glamping pods at Hillcroft Park are the perfect location for glamping near Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. Owned and operated by the Heath Family, the award-winning Hillcroft Park sits above the pretty lakeside village of Pooley Bridge.
Hillcroft Park boasts one of the most stunning locations of any UK holiday park and you are sure to have an unforgettable glamping holiday here. Designed to meet the needs of holiday makers who appreciate the peace and tranquility found in this part of the world, Hillcroft Park provides an ever-changing landscape that is simply breathtaking throughout the year.
Our glamping pods are suitable for couples or families for up to 4 people. They are equipped with a king size bed, an en-suite shower, toilet, and sink, heating, a sofa in the living area that pulls out to a double bed, a kitchenette, table and chairs however you are required to bring your own bedding (i.e. pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, etc.) and other accessories as you would if you were camping. You can hire a Crockery box for £25 and or a linen pack for 2 guests for £25.00. These can be ordered via telephone prior to your arrival.
We love what we do and work hard to go that extra mile for our guests. Providing the best facilities with a personal touch, we’ve an onsite shop that sells a good range of local produce and everyday staples plus a play area with outdoor table tennis and football tables. There is a dedicated laundry room and a drying room.
We are lucky enough to be located in the beautiful Ullswater Valley and there are a multitude of walks for all levels and abilities in the area. A recent addition to the list is the Ullswater Way – a 20 mile circular walking route around the lake. The route can be walked in either direction and from any starting point.

We have stayed at Hillcroft a few times now and absolutely love it! It’s a beautiful camp site within walking distance to pooley bridge. My children love the park and green space and the games room and I feel happy in the knowledge that they are safe whilst pottering around the site. The staff are lovely and friendly and the pods we stay in are always clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic weekend and look forward to returning again in the near future.

I booked this via a Wowcher deal for 3 nights in a dog friendly glamping pod. The pod was lovely and the shower amazing. Launch from town is a flat walk and takes you to Glenridding etc.All the staff were friendly and there's a cute little shop. We walked into town which took 10 minutes. Lots of eateries, riverside walks, general shop and lovely bookshop, ice-cream shop etc. If you do drive in, there's a £4 all day car park just past the church on the right. Otherwise expect to pay £5 for 2 hours in other car parks. If walking, there's a slight incline on the way back and a moderately steep hill once you get to the site entrance. TIP: The site do say to take induction pans. These need to be big enough (think medium hob size) otherwise the ring won't work. Also if you take a bottom sheet, you'll need a king size. We took a double and struggled, so bought one in Sainsbury's in Penrith. There is a bench set for each pod but next time, I'd take folding camping chairs for the deck.

Glamping Pod was exceptionally clean, a very good size with a separate toilet and shower.We are campers so brought our own sleeping bags, cutlery and chairs to sit on the decking but be aware these are extras and will cost you to rent.The onsite toilet and washroom block was exceptional, no wonder it won a national award.The site is situated on an elevated site @5-6 min walk into Pooley bridge.Superb Pizza truck in a car park on the outskirts of PB and the Ullswater Steamer a great way to start a walk. We got off at Howtown and walked the 6 miles back to P on the Ullswater Way footpath.

Highly recommend the glamping pod,has all of the essentials that you need and is perfect for a couple. Not to far from beautiful views and lakes 😊

Me and a friend stayed in a glamping pod do do the ullwater way walk over 2 days (very good walk bit hard in places but worth it). pod was very good to relax in after a hard day's walk. picnic bench out front there's a pizza van right next to the pods which does breakfast in the morning hillcroft is a very tidy site (i would live ther if i could ) poorly bride is a class little village plenty of places to eat and drink. if you are thinking about staying at hillcroft park don't hesitate get it's booked you'll love it. iv also stayed in 1 of the caravans a few years ago that was amazing too. Thank you so much hill croft park hope to see you again soon.

Everything is perfect on the site. The amenities are great and the location is fab. Close enough to walk into pooley bridge and the lake. Love everything about it
