Great glamping pod, cosy, clean and well thought out. Fantastic grounds, immaculately maintained and good facilities. Loved the area and had some lovely walks. Would definitely recommend it and would come again.

We loved our stay it was fantastic the site was great the glamping pod we stayed in was great very clean and easy to locate the parking was fine directly out side the pod as long as your neighbours parked ok you will be fine. You can have fires out side your pod to relax and enjoy the weather and views. The pod was sound proof so we heard nothing after shutting the door and we slept great the bed was very comfortable. The kids play was is big so the kids had lots of fun with other children on the site. They had a pizza oven van on site that also did breakfast so very easy if you wanted something different instead of cooking in the pod. Now my only issue I had was 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed we were asked to donate to charity and in my opinion it just wasn’t fair to be asking your customers all most every night to donate. We were just chilling out having food and I didn’t like it and that’s my opinion as I know it’s not everyone’s as my wife didn’t mind.

On arrival lovely reception staff and helpful. Beautiful well kept gardens and spotless glamping pod. Unfortunately no hot water on day two but John quickly sorted the pressure which had affected a couple of pods that day. The lads instead enjoyed the amazing shower facilities and went back to them again. Short walk to village enjoyed lovely food and views in Secret Garden stunning little place. Enjoyed drinks in Grannys. Short walk to the beauty of the lake. Nice trinket shops and lovely riverside pubs. Looking at booking again a gem of a campsite. Thank you.

Been to Hillcroft many times usually camping but this time we stayed in one of the glamping pods …. Absolutely brilliant…. The shower and toilet are immaculate…. The staff are so friendly .. the place is kept so clean and tidy … quite simply our favourite place in the UK

We’ve returned to Hillcroft 6 years in a row. For the past 5 we have stayed in the Glamping Pods, which I highly recommend.The team and the facilities are by far the best we’ve experienced. You won’t regret going to Hillcroft. Perfect location short walk from Pooley Bridge and Ullswater is a wonderful lake. See you next year! X

We recently stated at Hillcroft Park in a glamping pod as a family of 3. When we arrived the pod wasn’t ready but we only waiting 15mins, the receptionist was friendly and gave me information about site and pod. We paid extra for bed linen (£25) and crockery pack (£25), when we arrived we had to fit the bed linen which I think for £25 extra it should have been on the bed, as I could have saved this money and brought my own if I knew I had to fit it. The crockery pack was everything that we needed but this was a huge plastic box on top of the table which took up the whole dining table. The pod is spacious, clean and modern, but the sofa bed was very dirty and stained which was more evident when it was pulled into a bed. The outside space is nice, play area and playing field great for kids. The site is a lovely 5 minute walk into pooley bridge. I would return but wouldn’t pay for extra for the bed linen and crockery pack.

We really enjoyed our stay only a few little problems that I am shore would make the stay better is that the cooker hob its very fiddly and did not want to work even with a pan provided. Also the microwave was hard to use and figure out. The shop is very nice but not always open when needed. But on the hole its a lovely park great place to stay the lake is not to far away shops and town will be staying again in the future would recommend it to all that want a change of scene a brake away and loves the lakes .

We love this site, it's well run, clean, convenient for Pooley bridge and, mostly, has everything you need.Having stayed in April, when it was quieter, we probably enjoyed it more? There where less tents on the field in front of the Glamping Pods in April, but this time, the field was full of Tents, it resembled a shabby campsite? The tents were lovely, very nice tents in fact, but it appeared like the pitches were iggledy piggledy? The field is hilly, so affects the view and ambience quite a bit? Not sure if there's another field the campers could use, it's just a personal observation?Our second observation, is the shop, it's quite good, but could be better without the expensive gift section, which seems totally out of place in a campsite?Other than that, we love the site, and will definitely return.

We have visited here every summer. We were first time to stay in glamping pod, it is beautiful. The whole park is child friendly, pet friendly, clean area, friendly staff. We have had a great time in here. Have booked my another holiday in next year already. Thank you
