Despite living locally, this was our first trip to Hidden Valley. We booked for 2 nights in the boutique lodge, which was a good size and well laid out. Our only complaints are that it was a bit dusty upstairs (under and around the mattresses and windows), that the upstairs window needs a blind, especially in summer, and that the heating is limited to the kitchen so some of the lodge doesn't get warm enough. With a small baby with us, these compelled us to leave after one night. We did however, spend the day at the resort, and it was exceptional. Loads to do for my 5 year old, who especially loved the soft play area. We'll be back, but likely for the day and not to stay.

Had a black out from 6pm after only getting house after 4pm no power till 7.30 next morning wasn’t the best situation with 4 kids with no lights or power kids failing and tripping up in the dark etc and heard nothing about complimentary night or refund

Great experience with family

We spent three nights at the end of Sept for my son’s birthday. Family of two adults and two children (4&6). We stayed in an XL Lodge. It was warm, cosey and comfortable I would book this again. It had all we needed for our short stay. We did numerous activities which I had prebooked and others we decided to do when on site and there was no problem with availability as it wasn’t too busy. Probably due to it coming in to quiet season, I suspect it would be much busier in the summer. All the staff were very kind and friendly and the overall keep was immaculate. The only fault I found and it’s purely for personal reasons, is that there is no child safety lock on the door or even a gate to lock at the entrance to the lodges. One of my children has Down syndrome and is a flight risk so we were constantly watching the door and trying to baracde it but we had an absolute ball and will be back

We stayed in a lodge and it was very clean. Staff where very helpful in all attractions and reception. Loads to do to keep the kids busy.

We arrived as a family of 2+2 Our eldest son has a physical and intellectual disability. We were not informed of any activities upon check in, just handed a map and activity sheet. We settled in and the lodge was perfect. Bed & bathroom downstairs was suitable for our son. We couldn’t access any activities on line due to Patchy internet. We went to reception to discover there were no activities available on Thursday. We only had the playground but that wasn’t accessible for our son. Thursday was a waste because our children had none of the activities available that we’d seen on the website. On Friday, again there were very limited activities, we wanted to use the water sports, wasn’t open. Only time was 1230 on Sat for younger kids, older son would have had to wait til 5pm but we had to leave. Our boys were very disappointed and we spoke to the guy on reception. Stay each year & each year you add new activities which is brill. Overall site & amenities are very clean. Staff are very friendly especially in reception. Our Lodge was clean however didn't feel as clean as other years. Outside the lodge needed a good sweep. Which I did myself. Lots of bulbs not working. Noticed prices have also gone up on everything. However we had a great time & it's a great place.

Most Staff members are fantastic. So friendly & helpful. Really stands out from current norms.Activities are really good fun & run well.Would be so handy to have a resort mobile app for booking spots for everything (the wrist band activities & the others) and finding out what’s on & when.Facilities are great fun and run so well.
