We loved Baxby Manor, we stayed in a Kabina and our Son and his family had a tent pitch TE3. The whole feel of the site was fabulous, well laid out quite and Eco friendly. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and got to know us by name which made it feel personal. It was very clean, tidy and it was a pleasure to stay there. We went out on 3 days to castle Howard, Flamingo Land and Diggerland. On the other days we stayed on the site. On site was a great Pizza shop where you could buy pizzas to have at your Kabina or tent. If you are coming with young children you will need to bring outdoor toys for them, there is just a kids playground about 10 minutes from the site.We had such a great time we have booked to go back in April next year

What a relaxing place. If you want to really switch off in wonderful surroundings with very little noise this is the place to go.I stayed in Kabina3 and fantastic lodge with everything your could need, just bring your own food & there’s a hot tub that’s ready for you on your arrival Recommend the wood fire pizza from the onsite shack.

We booked this trip to cleanse our minds from the repetition of every day life, whilst being surrounded by nature and tranquility. Baxby Manor did not disappoint it was the perfect location, just beautiful, hidden away from hustle and bustle of life. We stayed in a Kabina which was lovely, we couldn’t have asked for better it was perfect. The hot tub was amazing and being able to relax and just listen to nature was perfect. We had a little chicken who visited us a few times which was lovely and lots of wild bunnies were seen. We had pizza from the pizza shack which was absolutely gorgeous followed by churros and a chocolate dip again these were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to unwind and take in nature. Also the Honey we bought home from Baxby Manor is yummy.

We returned for a wedding anniversary getaway (after holding our wedding at the Hideaway a lot of years ago), this time staying in Kabina 3. It was very comfortable and well kitted out. Loved the deck and shady canopy, and the air conditioning was very welcome on a hot BH. Pizza shack is a great addition and it's lovely to see how all the trees have grown up, whilst the facilities remain second to none. All staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks guys!

Lovely stay at Baxby Manor to celebrate our son's birthday.On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff who supplied necessary information. We stayed in a kabina which was lovely and cosy with a very comfortable super king bed. The kabina was very clean and had the extra advantage of a lovely hot tub, again kept very clean.The location was very peaceful with plenty space around.Staff were very helpful and dealt with any problems promptly. We had a delicious evening meal in Bagby and on our second night we ordered pizza from the Pizza Hut on site, again delicious. We also had full English breakfast on site which was delicious and plentiful.There are great places to visit not far away. We walked through Sutton Bank National Park, visited Byland Abbey which was stunning, spent a lovely afternoon in York and called into Thirsk on our way home.All in all, a great stay with plenty to do and spend quality time with family which included much fun.

Perfect staycation.Pizza Hut and onsite shop is so so handy. Plenty of walking and just a short drive from York city centre. Such a peaceful site would recommend.

We stayed at the hideaway in a kabina towards the end of October. The site is easily accessible with shops and pubs a short 10 minute drive away in the next town. We visited Howard house which was a beautiful stately home around half an hour drive away. We went to York for the day before we checked in and this was around a 40 minute drive away. The staff were very helpful and we even got a free upgrade upon arrival! The Kabinas are like home away from home, really nice decor, even down to the cups and plates and bedding. There are amenities to cook also. We were really shocked at how nice the kabinas were for the price we paid, they could definitely charge alot more!! We went in the hot tub early mornings and listened to the birds, very relaxing! Already looking to book again for next year. It was a gorgeous retreat like reset! I could have stayed here for weeks!
