The glamping pods at Hillcroft Park are the perfect location for glamping near Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. Owned and operated by the Heath Family, the award-winning Hillcroft Park sits above the pretty lakeside village of Pooley Bridge.
Hillcroft Park boasts one of the most stunning locations of any UK holiday park and you are sure to have an unforgettable glamping holiday here. Designed to meet the needs of holiday makers who appreciate the peace and tranquility found in this part of the world, Hillcroft Park provides an ever-changing landscape that is simply breathtaking throughout the year.
Our glamping pods are suitable for couples or families for up to 4 people. They are equipped with a king size bed, an en-suite shower, toilet, and sink, heating, a sofa in the living area that pulls out to a double bed, a kitchenette, table and chairs however you are required to bring your own bedding (i.e. pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, etc.) and other accessories as you would if you were camping. You can hire a Crockery box for £25 and or a linen pack for 2 guests for £25.00. These can be ordered via telephone prior to your arrival.
We love what we do and work hard to go that extra mile for our guests. Providing the best facilities with a personal touch, we’ve an onsite shop that sells a good range of local produce and everyday staples plus a play area with outdoor table tennis and football tables. There is a dedicated laundry room and a drying room.
We are lucky enough to be located in the beautiful Ullswater Valley and there are a multitude of walks for all levels and abilities in the area. A recent addition to the list is the Ullswater Way – a 20 mile circular walking route around the lake. The route can be walked in either direction and from any starting point.

This was my first time glamping so wasn't sure if I was going to love it or hate it and didn't know what to expect. I was very impressed with the size of the pod, the cleanliness of the pod and the fact it had a private bathroom including shower. Overall I am glad to say I absolutely loved the experience and will definitely be returning at some point !!

We have had the best week’s holiday at Hillcroft. Me my husband and 2 children ages 22 and 10 loved it so much we paid for a pod for a further day.Hillcroft is perfect for old and young. Plenty of space to pitch the tent, sit relax and chill even if it is raining.The staff are so friendly and nothing is a bother. Staff walk the park at all hours making sure everyone is ok.The toilet/shower block is immaculate and with the bird tweet and sheep bleating in the background is a fun touch. There’s a small shop on site for the things you may have forgotten to bring.Pooley bridge is a nice short walk away with pubs and a few shops, pop to the river to feed the ducks also you can have a lush day on the steam boat.If you want to go further Lowther Castle is 18 minutes away by car (or about an hour if you fancy a long walk) for a great day out or even the slate mines just outside of Keswick is an amazing experience.Penrith is about 10/15 minutes away by car.Can’t wait to come back

Great location in walking distance into pooley bridge. Great play park on site. Glamping pod was great. Games room had out of order signs on almost all machines which was disappointing.

We stayed in the glaming pods which was great and helped my mobility disability.Pods are lovely and clean and perfect for everyone. Great open space out the back of the pods for children to play.

Amazing site ticked all the boxes, amenities superb, walking distance to Pooley Bridge, we will be booking again for a week next time.

Third visit to Hillcroft Park glamping pods, they have everything we need and only a 5 minute walk into Pooley Bridge, 10 minutes to the Ullswater Steamer Pier.Pod was clean. We tried the chippie van on Saturday night

This site is in a great location, 10 minute walk into Pooley Bridge, plenty of pubs, places to eat and a few shops. We stayed in a glamping pod, very clean (spotless). Staff really friendly very helpful. First time glamping, will definitely do it again and hopefully return to Hillcroft Park next year, loved every minute there.
