We have been coming here for around 3 years now and do love it however we stayed in a lodge this time. The lodge is lovely and there is enough space for us and our 2 year old however every one of the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Pull out bed was the worst as the mattress was not really a mattress and was incredibly thin so you could feel everything underneath, with two people it was hard to sleep on due to it dipping and not being flat. The bed downstairs is made up of cushions underneath with no mattress and upstairs two thin single mattresses. If these beds could be sorted this place would be amazing but a week attempting to sleep on any of the three beds has not been fun - unlikely to book again until they have been sorted. The oven is extremely poor, was not able to cook our dinner in it so this needs looking at also - fully functioning just not great. A number of blinds also broken so could not be put up and the vent in the bathroom did not work. Floor needs a good clean!

Very welcoming staff when we arrived but so disappointed when I walked in the lodge. There were flies everywhere around the windows, not the odd fly that had come in which I’d totally understand, I mean dead flies, nests & spiders & webs, obviously not been cleaned. I went to reception & started to explain to female owner, I work in customer service & she obviously didn’t listen very well as sent a young girl up with a broom. This obviously didn’t work & then got given a fly spray to use myself. We had to spray, leave & then ventilate the lodge for over an hour meaning I couldn’t get stuff in or feed my kids.I then had to get Hoover myself.Plates cutlery etc dirty. Had to clean all before use. Appliances aren’t worth using. Beds were awful. If you can call it a bed in the living area is a topper not a mattress, upstairs are 2 singles that move & by table is cushions not a mattress. I didn’t sleep. Dirty bedding & old hankies found. Told have money off next time but won’t be one.

Really nice stay, lad on the desk was very helpful when we turned up. Nice onsite shop. Roads are a bit tight in, but not the campsites fault!

This is the 5th time I think we have stayed at Higher Moor Farm now, we love it. Peaceful location, not far from the town. Lovely well maintained and clean facilities. Amazing friendly and helpful staff members who really make you feel so welcome. Love the marquee with the live music and food on certain days of the week. Very enjoyable. Will be back again I’m sure. Thanks Higher Moor!

I can highly recommend the pods for an easy weekend away with the friends and family. We are a family of five with a baby and it was really great! The kids absolutely loved the park and the freedom of riding their bikes around the campsite.Unfortunately the oven didn’t work in our pod which was a little disappointing as we had brought oven meals to have for the first night. I would defo stay there again and we are already planning our trip to the campsite for next summer . Highly recommend!!

Lovely site, never stay on a campsite before, the lodge sleeps 6 but there was only 2 of us, and it was perfect, I think if there were 6 adults you be better off in a big tent, we didn't use the upstairs bed, this would be perfect for my 3 grand kids to stay, we stayed downstairs, where they had made up a double bed in the dining area, it was very comfortable, the shower was very nice and powerful, the only thing that was missing was a hair dryer, however when I had a look in the shower block for the camper there was one there.A perfect camp site, for motorhomes, caravans and camping, highly recommend.
