Description

The Oak Yurt at Woodlands Farm is a beautiful traditionally made yurt from Mongolia that sleeps a family of 4-6 people. It has some gorgeous tradition folk art painted on the woodwork inside.

Situated under a grand old Oak tree, this is a favourite spot for many children, with the woodland swings not far away. You have a king sized bed and mattresses on ground level which may be arranged in the yurt to suit your needs, then piled up in the day to provide comfortable seating and more space. Care has been taken to provide you with a magical, simple and comfortable interior with lanterns, beautiful rugs, cosy sheepskins, wooden tables and a two ring gas stove with kettle.

You have a great wood burner in the centre of your space to provide you with heat and a beautiful ambience. This yurt is situated in a lovely peaceful space and at the same time its in easy and convenient to all the facilities. Your fire pit and hammock are very close by to your yurt.

We are a large family group of parents... Adult Children and lots of Grandchildren. All of us were very impressed with this lovely, quirky place to stay and have fun... standards were impressive with all facilities. Perfect place for the Grandchildren aging from 1 to 11 to enjoy Glamping at its best... camp fires.. toasting marshmallows.....and much, much more!... for all of us adults... a well deserved rest from the busyness of the city!.... as the children mainly entertained themselves, off having fun in a safe space!... great comfy beds for us with beautiful crisp bedding ( worth every penny of the extra charge) our only warning, would be to budget for the large amount of wood needed for campfires... burners in the yurts and to run the hot tub... we espically loved the attention to detail and spacious outdoor table.. which was perfect for celebrating two birthdays, whilst we were there!... not only would we come back!.. we are going to come back!!... hopefully we will manage to get off the hammocks and discover the local area and pubs!

Just returned from a fantastic week at this site. We stayed in one of their original Mongolian Yurts and from the second we walked in we were in love with the accommodation. We stayed in one of their original Mongolian Yurts and from the second we walked in we were in love with the accommodation. Every last detail has been thought through to make your stay pleasurable and it is impossible to stay there and not feel the immediate relaxation of the woods and wildlife on the doorstep. Friendly, helpful staff and all the facilities are clean, in working order and exactly in fitting with the experience. We did not need to take a single cooking utensil and we did not need a thing. 5 stars isn't enough:
