Woodhouse Farm Caravan Park
Sleeps
up to 3 |
1 Bedroom |
Suitable for Families | Pet Friendly | Instant Booking |
Woodhouse Farm Caravan Park, tucked away in a quiet corner of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the ideal place for glamping in Yorkshire. Stay in our glamping pods to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the surrounding area.
Located in a secluded area of woodland on the park our Yorkshire glamping pods are built in solid, treated timber and insulated with sheep's wool - the glamping pods are ideal for couples or young families and have lighting, heating and a power socket but you will need to bring all your own camping equipment (including bedding and camp beds). With your own front door there is added security as well as giving you that extra privacy. As the glamping pods are located in secluded woodland, we recommend that you bring a torch.
These standard pods will comfortably sleep 2 adults and a child. Three of our glamping pods are dog friendly, catering for a maximum of 2 dogs.
Clean, hot showers are available 24 hrs a day within modern washing blocks. There are baby changing rooms, a family bathroom and a disabled bathroom. They are serviced regularly during the day, every day. There is also a well-equipped laundry room.
Woodhouse Farm has an onsite shop offering a selection of groceries, newspapers, sweets, toys and camping requisites. It also offers gas refills and fishing permits.
There are three activity centres on the park catering for two groups of children; a play fort designed for under 6s with a small picnic area and additional seating close by. The second is a play fort for older children under 14s; the third is a play barn with a climbing wall, table tennis, pool and foosball table.
We have a well-established cycle track and a nature trail that takes a circular route around the outskirts of the park and through the woodland, up to the large lake and back again to the car park.
Woodhouse Farm welcomes well behaved dogs. In the interests of everyone on the park we provide a 2 acre walk for the benefit of exercising your dog and it is the one area where your dog is permitted to be off the lead.
There are also two fishing lakes both offering a quiet location. The larger of the two has been extensively refurbished and restocked. Fish include Common, Crucian and Mirror Carp, Rudd, Chubb, Roach and Perch.
Book your glamping pod in the Yorkshire Dales today and you will find Woodhouse Farm Caravan Park has something for everyone!

I have one recommendation though.. update the photos on the website as all the pods now have balconies with picnic bench. and solar lights. there are solar lights along the path that leads into the car park which i am sure wasn't noted on the website also.

Myself and my two girls have just spent a lovely couple of nights in a camping pod, it was a perfect size for us as we could easily fit in a travel cot for my littlest and my eldest shared a camping mat with me. We didn’t need much else in the pod. The heater was lovely and warm and made the pod cosy even in cold wet October. The facilities are great, we ate on site at the lovely pub both nights and the girls and their friends loved the play gym. The only thing that I would say is that the staff could have been kinder / more helpful on just one occasion - I had my hands full at one point and we hadn’t been to reception to purchase the play barn tickets and when I asked if I could send my friend to pick up tickets whilst I stayed with our 4 children in the play barn (to avoid tantrums) she didn’t want us to and made it very clear that she was not happy and was actually quite rude. It’s nice to be nice and all that! If it’s really that much of a problem then they need better signage outside the play barn as to where you purchase tickets BEFORE entry. It’s not obvious so beware! Other than that - we had a lovely time! Would definitely return!

The stay at the site otherwise was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. My partner did not like the fact you had to transport all your stuff with a wheelbarrow from the car to the pod via a long path through the woods, she didn’t understand the concept, however I did. Good site, I would recommend.

We had a lovely two days it’s one of the best little spots we have found in the dales and have already recommended it to family and friends. The only problem we did seem to have was the staff was a bit ‘do it tomorrow attitude’ the reception was not well stocked at all and had not Evan the basics like bread to buy. We arrived hoping to get food as we was starving but the restaurant in the pub was fully booked which was really unfortunate for us and luckily we drive to go of site to get something. That facility could be a lot bigger considering the camps capacity. Drinks are slightly high in price so didn’t stay for much of them. There is no we’re for breakfast 😩 there’s chickens walking around on site, so possible fresh eggs on a breakfast would be a bonus to wake up to 🙌🏻 The parks great for kids lots of things to do and it’s so clean and tidy 🤩 One last thing our heater didn’t work in our pod and I was freezing all night which was a shame 😣 the appliances should be rechecked before each arrival. It’s only minor things but would of made a perfect stay if these were to be sorted and I would return for sure 😉

Absolutely loved the camping pods, surrounded by the woods. Only downside was the toilet being so far away especially walking to them during the night. My only suggestion would be maybe put some toilets down there.

We stayed in a pod , but unfortunately had to use a wheelbarrow to transport your belongings to it . Of which they only have 2 . Had to handball it all when we we’re leaving because 4 family’s were leaving at the same time same day . The restaurant could be making a fortune if it had the staff to cook food , very limited menu and time available. No breakfast or lunch. A very limited on site shop, make sure you done forget anything ! The kids activities were ok for kids under 6 . I must say the grounds and all facilities were clean and tidy

Arrived earlier than expected but reception very helpful in explaining all things about the site from accommodation, children's facilities, restaurant and bar area and location of amenities. Would like to give a massive shout out to Abbie who was one of the restaurant staff, although she was very busy she was very attentive to our needs and she was funny, a breath of fresh air..Thank you Abbie. Only draw back was distance from toilet block to pods at least 150 yards away, but pod area very quiet. I would recommend staying here to anyone who has children and also enjoy peaceful settings. My family and myself will definitely return

A little walk from the car park through a woodland path lit by soft lighting. We only stayed for 2 night so didn’t take any cooking equipment and we really should have done as the pub wasn’t serving food on the first night and was fully booked on the second. Ripon is a 5 mile drive away which wasn’t that convenient for take away. A little more information from staff about this on arrival and on the website would be useful as the pub staff seemed to think we should have known it would be fully booked. This was however the only complaint and a lovely stay was had by all
