Woodhouse Farm Caravan Park, tucked away in a quiet corner of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the ideal place for glamping in Yorkshire. Stay in our glamping pods to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the surrounding area.

Located in a secluded area of woodland on the park our Yorkshire glamping pods are built in solid, treated timber and insulated with sheep's wool - the glamping pods are ideal for couples or young families and have lighting, heating and a power socket but you will need to bring all your own camping equipment (including bedding and camp beds). With your own front door there is added security as well as giving you that extra privacy. As the glamping pods are located in secluded woodland, we recommend that you bring a torch.

These family glamping pods in Yorkshire will sleep 2 adults and 3-4 children. Three of our glamping pods are dog friendly, catering for a maximum of 2 dogs.

Clean, hot showers are available 24 hrs a day within modern washing blocks. There are baby changing rooms, a family bathroom and a disabled bathroom. They are serviced regularly during the day, every day. There is also a well-equipped laundry room.

Woodhouse Farm has an onsite shop offering a selection of groceries, newspapers, sweets, toys and camping requisites. It also offers gas refills and fishing permits.

There are three activity centres on the park catering for two groups of children; a play fort designed for under 6s with a small picnic area and additional seating close by. The second is a play fort for older children under 14s; the third is a play barn with a climbing wall, table tennis, pool and foosball table.

We have a well-established cycle track and a nature trail that takes a circular route around the outskirts of the park and through the woodland, up to the large lake and back again to the car park.

Woodhouse Farm welcomes well behaved dogs. In the interests of everyone on the park we provide a 2 acre walk for the benefit of exercising your dog and it is the one area where your dog is permitted to be off the lead.

There are also two fishing lakes both offering a quiet location. The larger of the two has been extensively refurbished and restocked. Fish include Common, Crucian and Mirror Carp, Rudd, Chubb, Roach and Perch.

Book your glamping pod in the Yorkshire Dales today and you will find Woodhouse Farm Caravan Park has something for everyone!

The kids love the play barn and would happily spend the day in there. The woodland pods are so peaceful and relaxing, can’t wait to come back again :)

"Fantastic family site"

The site has expanded since our last visit several years ago, but it was still beautiful, immaculately clean, brilliant for kids, the amazing new play barn has a huge soft play and lots of games. It is £2 for an all day wristband but this is fair as means parents pay for the facilities rather than all campers. Look forward to our return A few points: We stayed in a camping pod and wouldn't choose them again. Whilst there was nothing wrong with the pods themselves, they are quite isolated in a private wooded area, with small decked area no grass for the kids to play, so not what we expected. Would suit some people but we'll camp next time. Plus you have to walk down a Long, gravel footpath and drag wheelbarrow along with all your gear so we found it a real faff and we normally like to keep things handy in the car to give more space in the pod at night.

It was 8pm and I rang the warden to see if there were any in the shop before setting off into Ripon. Unfortunately, the shop didn’t have any but Bob the warden kindly went to his own caravan and gave me two of his grandchildren’s that he had spare. The staff are very kind and helpful and clearly go above and beyond for their guests. Thank you for another amazing stay at Woodhouse Farm.

I stayed in the camping pods which where good value for money however I think the information about the pods needs updating. The fact that you have to use a wheelbarrow to move things from the carpark to the pod is a fun idea but very time consuming and difficult if you struggle lifting. I think it would be ideal to park at the pod to unload then move the car to the car park. Also the pods are very close together and you can hear your neighbours very clearly as well as not having a picnic table each which in other pods I have stayed at this has been facilitated. The toileting facilities where average, it was good that we had the full block due to covid but had to walk further to get to these. The showers where clean however very outdated and I imagine prior to covid they would be quite invasive as the showers, toilets and sinks are together rather than in separate cubicles with the facilities required. The pub onsite was nice, we didn't sample food as the menu was limited due to covid. The area was perfect for walks and exploring; activities such as brimham rocks and nearby shops in ripon. Overall I would stay again but probably not in a pod.

Beautiful pod set in idyllic surroundings. Warm and cosy with ample space for family of 4. Lots to explore on site- trails with nature info pictures to search for, lakes, bike track (we ran around!), animals and play barn for rainy days. The wash block facilities were great- clean and well tendered and very warm. Separate bathroom with bath was a hit with our children and on site pub with roaring open fire was just what we needed one wet evening. All in all a lovely break in a great setting. Good value for money. Handy for Fountains Abbey, Thorp perrow and Himalayan Gardens. Friendly warm staff who went the extra mile for us. We will be back!
