Woodhouse Farm Caravan Park, tucked away in a quiet corner of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the ideal place for glamping in Yorkshire. Stay in our glamping pods to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the surrounding area.

Located in a secluded area of woodland on the park our Yorkshire glamping pods are built in solid, treated timber and insulated with sheep's wool - the glamping pods are ideal for couples or young families and have lighting, heating and a power socket but you will need to bring all your own camping equipment (including bedding and camp beds). With your own front door there is added security as well as giving you that extra privacy. As the glamping pods are located in secluded woodland, we recommend that you bring a torch.

These family glamping pods in Yorkshire will sleep 2 adults and 3-4 children. Three of our glamping pods are dog friendly, catering for a maximum of 2 dogs.

Clean, hot showers are available 24 hrs a day within modern washing blocks. There are baby changing rooms, a family bathroom and a disabled bathroom. They are serviced regularly during the day, every day. There is also a well-equipped laundry room.

Woodhouse Farm has an onsite shop offering a selection of groceries, newspapers, sweets, toys and camping requisites. It also offers gas refills and fishing permits.

There are three activity centres on the park catering for two groups of children; a play fort designed for under 6s with a small picnic area and additional seating close by. The second is a play fort for older children under 14s; the third is a play barn with a climbing wall, table tennis, pool and foosball table.

We have a well-established cycle track and a nature trail that takes a circular route around the outskirts of the park and through the woodland, up to the large lake and back again to the car park.

Woodhouse Farm welcomes well behaved dogs. In the interests of everyone on the park we provide a 2 acre walk for the benefit of exercising your dog and it is the one area where your dog is permitted to be off the lead.

There are also two fishing lakes both offering a quiet location. The larger of the two has been extensively refurbished and restocked. Fish include Common, Crucian and Mirror Carp, Rudd, Chubb, Roach and Perch.

Book your glamping pod in the Yorkshire Dales today and you will find Woodhouse Farm Caravan Park has something for everyone!

"Washing facilities"

Ms B Maidlow - Stayed with friends, Sep 2021

The showers were not good. Very small amount of water which sprayed everywhere & made everything in the cubicle wet eg my shoes! The park must be aware of this because there is a sign asking people to mop the floor when they've finished. I think some new shower heads... The showers were not good. Camped before and have stayed in a pod too. We have visited several times over the last 14 years. Warm welcome, friendly staff. Clean facilities and beautiful setting. Kids love the freedom (and the chickens!).

I stayed in the camping pods for 2 nights with 3 kids and a few friends stayed in others with their children. All in all a really lovely trip. The set up where the pods are is lovely and although it was a little walk to the toilets, it didn’t matter as there was a lovely little path through the woods that’s lit up with lanterns at night. A lovely touch. The site appeared to be very well maintained and clean. All the children enjoyed themselves in the park and soft play and exploring the site. The pub was lovely, although we were not aware we should have booked for a meal before we arrived. I would recommend anyone that wants to eat at the pub to book well in advance of your arrival. Also, be aware the pub does not serve food on a Wednesday as we weren’t aware of this. The staff were ok but a little rude at times. When we tried to book tables at the pub on the Thursday morning for 5pm on the Thursday night, we were pretty much laughed at saying there was no availability, however, when in the pub just after 5pm that evening for a drink there were barely any tables taken up. Also my friend was stood waiting to be served for a long time (no queue), the staff were chatting and ignored her until she had to say excuse me and ask for drinks. We now know if we return again to be better prepared for food (maybe a fault on our part but something to be aware of). Another downside was the extremely early check out of 9:30am. It was a bit of a mad rush to get out so early and meant our last night was taken up a little with packing in advance. We would definitely return to wood house as we all had a lovely time. Very good value for money given the location, cleanliness and set up of the pods.
