Tommy is one of our two pop-up yurts in Snowdonia National Park, Wales, so called because they pop-up in different locations around the site depending on the season. Tommy is ideal for family glamping or couples who would like plenty of space. Unlike our more traditional hand-crafted yurts, the pop-up yurts are made of modern materials which are easy to move but still robust and fully waterproof. Great for glamping at Snowdonia, Wales!

Tommy sleeps up to 4 people and is the pop-up yurt to book if you would like the convenience of Glamping in the Glade or winter glamping. Tommy is named after Tommy Nutter, the Barmouth born tailor who dressed The Beatles and David Bowie and created Jack Nicholson’s costume for The Joker in Batman.

Tommy comes kitted out with a proper double bed with a quality extra thick mattress and two single sofa beds. A wood burning stove made by artisan stove maker Windy Smithy keeps the yurt cosy. The yurt is on a beautiful wooden base made by local craftsman Dan from Adventures in Wood. There is bespoke furniture, floor rugs, warm Welsh tapestry blankets and sheep skins on the beds.

A simple covered camp kitchen right outside the yurt provides a 2 ring camping gas stove and all the cooking equipment, plates, cutlery etc you will need. There’s a picnic table, fairy lights and we give you a couple of lanterns to use. There is also a fire pit and grill for BBQs. Just bring your own double bedding or sleeping bags, towels and food and enjoy a very special corner of Snowdonia National Park…

Glamping in the Glade

Between March until the end of October, Tommy pops-up in The Glade, a secret silver birch glade just off the beaten track from the main camp site. The accommodation feels private although you will see your fellow glampers nearby in our Welsh Caban and two hand-built yurts through trees. You can park by the yurt and there’s an eco-loo and shower a few steps away. Further loos and showers are shared with campers about 100 metres away.

We take group bookings by arrangement for Glamping in the Glade but this magical area is very peaceful and quiet at night.
