The good bit; The shepherds hut was perfectly adequate for our needs and the log burner more than capable of warming it very quickly indeeed. Its orientation was perfect for catching the evening sun and the setting was attractive and well thought out. The covered area with table and chairs was ideal but the roof should have been higher. I see upcycling pallets is all the rage now, dare I suggest you might like to find a few bits of timber to fill the gaps in the top surface. So it actually works like a table. If you want the huts to be even better may I also suggest you install some solar powered low level lighting just to cheer them up once the sun goes down. You know like the ones you put up around that poor excuse for a washing facility. The bad bit; The communal washing facilities were frankly awful, the worst I've seen and should be condemned. The person who designed and built them should be ashamed of themselves. Describing the set up as rustic and simple is not an excuse for the delivery of a shoddy, unhygienic and draughty waste of perfectly good timber. How dare you even think they might be acceptable. I bet you don't have anything quite so crap in your house do you? Using reclaimed shower trays, sinks and plumbing fittings is all very well but only if they are as good as new and only if they are installed properly with surfaces and surrounds that can be kept clean. Apparently parents should supervise their kids whilst in the shower as it was possible that the water could get very hot due to people using other outlets in the facility. WTF! You are sailing close to the wind on that one. The answer my friend is to put that shed to the torch and get in someone who knows how to build, oh and get yourself a real plumber and get the installation completed to the appropriate British Standard while you're at it. Once you have created a washing facility thats up to standard you can always dress up the outside with wooden boards to give it that 'simple rustic' look. The more I think about it the angrier I get. I thought that this sort of shoddy nonsense was a thing of the past. You and your kind really should stick to farming and leave the delivery of a quality camping experience to the professionals! We will not be coming back.
