Experience camping in a glamping pod at Sumners Ponds Fishery & Campsite, The concept is to bring all your own equipment less the tent – so you need to bring your own bedding including mattress or camp bed, cooking equipment and anything else you think you might need for a camping trip in West Sussex. Best of all you will be cosy and warm with no wet tent to pack away at the end of your stay.

The glamping pod consists of lockable double doors, carpeted flooring, electric heater and lighting with the use of a double plug socket. There is also a small decking area on each of the glamping pods for use as a seating and cooking area. At each glamping pod there is a picnic table exclusively for your use.

Use of the showers blocks and electricity is included. Fishing is separate and tickets can be purchased when you arrive. A Standard Glamping Pod can accommodate up to two adults and two small children.

Glamping at Sumners Ponds Fishery and Campsite in West Sussex is a unique and beautiful spot set in tranquil countryside amongst 100 acres of lakes, woodland and pasture.

The campsite itself boasts high quality campsite facilities, acres of woodland, a working farm and fishing lakes. All this in a beautiful and secluded setting which is perfect for just relaxing, or for the more active, exploring the many footpaths and safe cycle-ways within and around the site.

Sumners Ponds is an ideal touring base, with many beautiful towns and villages near by. Access to the South Downs National Park and the coast is easy, while Brighton is only half an hour by car and London only one hour away. There really is something for everyone.

The Cafe by the Lake is our restaurant and bar which is open to both those staying on site and the general public. We aim to provide the highest standard of food and service.

When you arrive the Smith family and the team will be here to ensure that your glamping break in West Sussex is as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to welcoming you.

Booked a camping pod as only accommodation available for my stay. On arrival the staff were welcoming and friendly. I was allocated pod no2, situated behind a safari tent, parking space and gate into a small garden area with a picnic table. The pod itself was as described, clean and warm. The only negative was the lock on the pod door, reported to reception who hopefully have sorted now. The shower/toilet/ wash up block was exceptionally clean, very warm, with a lovely touch of jungle wildlife playing. The cafe on the lake is wonderfully charming, overlooking one of the lakes. This large cabin has great decor, wood burner heating nooks and crannies and severs good food. It’s neither cheap nor expensive, but it is good food. I can comment on entertainment as there was none when I stayed (November) but I was informed by locals that they often have live music. They have five lakes, of which I fished two, caught on both lakes. There are lovely walks in the beautiful surroundings. Bait and tackle are available on site and the staff and fishing balifs were all very friendly and helpful. Note for fishermen/women, you will need a cradle to fish three of the lakes, they do hire them for the day at a reasonable price. I would have no hesitation on recommending this place, I loved it.

Got a 2 adults and 2 small kids pod, seems stupid to say it, but it is very small. Read the website dimensions, then picture your family fitting into that size, think carefully as the cooking area outside is very small too, luckily we brought tables, cookers etc, the website accurately mentions camping without the tent, so cooking was done outside in the luckily 'fine weather'. The pod is cosy and the very quiet.

"Camping pod 2"

Mr R Bell - Stayed with family, Sep 2018

Brilliant washrooms! So clean & modern, couldn’t fault it. Pod 2 has electricity a heater.but unfortunately no light for some reason? Fishing was great & a tackle shop where you can buy bait too. I will hopefully be making a booking for 2019. Really enjoyed ourselves.

"Great place for fishing and glamping"

Mr D Wildman - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Great site. Camping pod a little pricey, maybe return with tent or caravan etc. Shower on/off switch very annoying. Restaurant great, tumble dryer was great, Freezer facility brilliant idea.
