St Helens is a great location for glamping in Yorkshire. It is an attractive, established park offering a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere set in wonderful surroundings with first-class facilities.

St Helens is an ideal base from which to enjoy your North York Moors National Park glamping break with excellent on site facilities, a range of local village amenities and Scarborough, Helmsley only a few miles away.

Situated on the 3000 acre family owned Dawnay Estate, St Helens in the Park features a beautiful country park, perfect for walking and relaxing. There are even alpacas and donkeys to look at along the way. There is also a 3 acre dog run.

Our purpose built wooden pet friendly pods at this glampsite in Yorkshire offer a truly unique glamping experience. All you need to bring with you is your camping and sleeping equipment, there's no need to worry about putting your tent up and down! Glamping pods are hugely popular with children and adults alike because they’re hassle free.

Each pet friendly glamping pod sleeps up to four people and has enough space for two double sized air mattresses or camp beds.

Thanks to their fantastic insulation, the glamping pods are kept warm in the winter months and cool in the summer months with a window and locking French doors able to offer additional ventilation in hotter weather.

The pet friendly glamping pods come with an electric socket with USB ports, a mirror, a light and black out lined curtains. Onsite there is free WiFi available, free shower and toilet facilities, a shop and cafe, a children's play area, a designated field for ball games and a launderette.

The popular Wykeham Fishing and Leisure Lakes are only a short walk away from the campsite. With four fresh water lakes, it is an ideal place for trout fishing and a variety of course fishing. The Lakes are home to the largest Pike in England. The leisure lake offers a variety of different activities including stand up paddle boarding, sailing, wind surfing and kayaking.

For your convenience we have our very own bus stop right outside the Park's entrance giving easy access to nearby Scarborough and Helmsley.

St Helens glamping is in the centre of Wykeham village which offers a variety of amenities. The Downe Arms Country Inn serves bar snacks and a la carte meals should you wish to eat out and Wykeham tea rooms is only a short walk away.

The surroundings were peaceful and pleasant and it was very clean and well maintained. Especially the toilet and showers. We will 100% be coming back. Thankyou all at St Helens for making our short stay so wonderful 😁

We started coming around 7 years ago, in the quiet family field in our tent. As our girls got bigger we progressed to the park field. One year we couldn’t get a tent pitch but a pod was available so we tried it and the tent has not been out of the loft since! The pods are always spotless. Coming to a pod lengthens our window of weather for coming as it’s always somewhere warm and dry to return to even if we get wet/cold. The site is fantastic. The park is well maintained, there’s a little hill with trees that the children love to explore and make dens in. The llamas and donkeys (and addition of chickens this year) are always a welcome sight too. The showers are always clean and hot. There are plenty for everyone. There’s even a Belfast style sink in the ladies is super helpful for grubby small people who still need held. The cafe is an amazing addition with home made delicious and really reasonably priced food. The addition of outdoor seating on the grass this year looks great too. The staff are really who make this site what it is. They are so friendly and always happy to help. Very approachable. In the area there are a few really nice walks too, short enough for families with little legs. We often walk along the old railway and into Ruston, then back to the cafe over the road which does the best cake I’ve ever tasted. As a family we’ve come to this site with children from less than a year old, up to 8 years old and at every age I’d recommend it.

We are both really busy and haven’t had time to just go away on our own. Our friend had originally booked this for us as a wedding gift due to lockdown we couldn’t come as soon as but we were glad to and would love to be back. Even though we made this trip for a day it was all worth it. Thank you for allowing us to stay even due to our late arrival.

Would be better if the childrens play park was bigger and would also like to see slightly better shower facilities. Great little cafe in the grounds but closes at 3pm and stock in the reception shop is small. Would like to see extra facilities that could be used on site to get food and drinks into the evenings. Would visit again though!

Stayed in a camping pod for two nights with my partner and our dog. The spot is in a great place to access all parts of the coastline. Our particular pod was slightly more disheveled than the ones near the entrance from the outside but was lovely on the inside. The facilities were clean and the staff were very friendly. It was nice for the pods, tent sites and caravan sites to be mixed about and not separated. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.
