The living area includes a dining table and chairs, double day bed, and wood burner to keep you toasty and warm.
The large covered veranda makes a perfect place to eat alfresco, relax and enjoy the wonderful countryside views, watch the sunsets and star gaze at night.
So, if you fancy glamping with your own private facilities and lots and lots of space in your tent – our lodges are perfect for you!
THINGS TO DO:
The farm borders the Quantock Hills, with Cothelstone Hill a 10-15 min drive to allow your to explore some of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We’d really recommend you try to include a trip there, even if it’s only a quick stop – the views are amazing.
Hestercombe Gardens are a short walk away across the fields from the glampsite, and offer an amazing collection of three gardens spanning three centuries of garden history and design. Beautiful woodlands, wildflower meadows, ponds, a stunning waterfall, and formal gardens await for you to explore. A lovely restaurant is on site for a tea and cake, or lunch.
Another must visit place nearby is Fyne Court, a nature reserve leased by the Somerset Wildlife Trust and is the headquarters for the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s ideal for walks and discovering a wide variety of habitats, and children love exploring the place! Only a couple of miles from the glampsite.
West Somerset Railway is a country branch line of the old Great Western Railway offering a nostalgic steam train ride back in time around the gentle, rolling Quantock hills to the North Somerset Coast.
The North Somerset Coast has something for everyone. From picturesque towns and quaint harbours, to bustling marinas and busy seaside resorts all along a stunning stretch of coastline.
You may find yourselves so relaxed and comfortable at your safari lodge though, that you never leave the site!
