Me & my partner stayed in a Premium Lodge with a Hot Tub for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. First impressions when entering the lodge were a lack of cleanliness, the kitchen sides were stained and had clearly not been wiped over after the last guests, the floor was filthy with bits of foods debris & hadn’t been mopped, around the bed were bits of tobacco, dust etc & hadn’t been touched with a hoover. The dining area seating was full of dust & there were massive cobwebs around the lodge. In the end I complained & asked for the lodge to be recleaned!! The Radiator in the bathroom wasn’t working, which meant we couldn’t dry the 2 bath towels provided (no hand towel provided either) so we had to ask for replacements as we we’re staying for 2 nights and we’re using the hot tub frequently, which was actually really nice & under shelter. Other negatives were, No WIFI! although smart TV in Lodge & Cigarette butts left in the BBQ

We stayed here in March 2023 as a family of 4. (Kids age 12 &10). The lodges appear to be in the woods in the pictures, however, they are placed at the side of the camp and next to a busy road (must note though this was not noisy) however the view is a metal fence with a woods behind it. The surroundings around the venue was fine, small enjoyable park for the kids and some walks. The lodge was very clean and plenty of sitting areas. The beds were really uncomfy and with having very light blinds it was very very bright in the living room all night . We didn't sleep great. However kids loved the top bed. The furniture outside I imagine would be lovely in summer but again not a nice view. Hot tub was very private and lovely and warm on our arrival. I wouldn't stay here again and would not recommend. We have personally stayed at plenty of lodges/caravans/ treehouses and you can get much better for a similar price.

First impression is its lovely its cosy, its a nice size. Its easy to find when driving, the staff are lovely. The playground was decent we couldnt take the little one on it as the weather wasnt on our side during our stay but can imagine it would have been good to get her there if it was abit dryer. We stopped in the bigger cabins, but the more we looked around we did find bits what took it down a star. The cleanliness wasnt great, we had to wash cups/plates/cutlery before using as it was still dirty/wet and there was some hard plastic cups in the cupboards which had quite clearly been in there for a long time. Make sure you take dispo cooking trays as we only had 1 tiny tray which for 4 of us didnt really hold anything. Everything else was spot on. The beds/bedding/lounge area/bathroom/jacuzzi, it was a lovely few days away and the little one couldnt keep out the jacuzzi! For what we paid for NYE trip and we booked it fairly late it was a decent little trip and would recomm

We stayed in the luxury lodges and they were lovely, the hot tub was a great touch we really enjoyed it. The design inside the lodges were lovely and the place was clean. Really liked the little touches like there was being plenty of towels provided. The little BBQ outside, would love to come back in summer to use this!Good location for nice walks and a lovely local pub in 10 minutes. I would say the only downfall of the lodges was the beds. The beds upstairs were small singles and we very thin, as it was my partner and I staying we wanted them close together, everytime we pushed them together they would move again. Not comfortable. The next night we tried the pull out mattress, this also wasn’t ideal. I slept better on it but was still uncomfortable, my partner did not stay on it with me as there was not enough room. We would stay here again but there needs to be an improvement with the beds as a good night sleep is essential.

Hot tub was amazing, nicely covered for when you visit in the middle of Winter. Surrounding area was lovely and peaceful and you’re not overlooked by anyone apart from the other people staying there. The only thing I would say is that even though the lodge slept 6, you would struggle for space with anymore than 4 people.

Location not really very idyllic but you’re not far from the beauty of the peak district or Derbyshire dales. Upon arriving we were met with a marijuana grinder/paraphernalia & some marijuana on the decked area which I swiftly took to the reception before my children got hold of it!!! The lad said thank you & looked embarrassed - I found the entire things so awkward, but really it’s awful it was there. Anyway, not to worry, hot tub, heating, bedding, furniture, crockery etc all super. Had to be careful with the knobs on the cooker though as they were totally loose (I hoped the owners didn’t think we’d broken them as we’d lose the £150 damage protection deposit) - the mechanisms were fine & lad in reception was already aware. They provide some basic cleaning stuff, could have done with a hoover as well as a brush, as on the first evening the previous occupants must have had a smash as a tiny shard of glass cut my toe. Genuinely though, had fun.

We stayed in the premium lodge with a private hot tub. The lodge itself was lovely. It was clean and had everything you needed. Nice local pubs in walking distance. Will definitely be coming back again!
