Myself, my two daughters and my granddaughter booked to stay with you for 3 night tues 28th - fri 31st Aug - in a Bell tent 5 and on a Campervan pitch 22. We booked these as we needed to be next to each other. On arrival I had trouble finding your reception - which is not easy to locate. I found your warden who got our paperwork from the office. I was impressed with the setting of the site and the bar and restaurant when I walked around - the Leisure park side looked lovely. Unfortunately we could not say the same about the Touring side. This site could be fantastic but just needs some tweaking.Firstly your nice new shower/toilets - there just doesn't seem to be enough for the number of people and we were often waiting. Toilet rolls run out and within a short time, because people walk from grass/mud into them, they are filthy ! I should add at this point that I have stayed in dozens of campsites in the UK, Europe and in Canada. The only other site I stayed at with shower/toilets like this was in Sweden where it worked because there were paths everywhere, entry was by keycard. We only ended up staying one night because of the level of noise the first night - we hoped it would be quieter on wednesday ( our second night ) but when it was obvious it wasn't going to be we packed up and left late in the evening. Where our pitches were is evidently a 'cut through' with children and adults walking around and behind my van. While I appreciate that the large groups you had there were more than happy - as they were the ones making the noise- others like myself and another lady who was staying in the area where your warden is - were not. I did try to find your warden yesterday evening at about 6.30 but he was out and there was a phone number to ring 'in an emergency'. On walking around the site it was clear that there wasn't anywhere else that we would be able to have the campervan and accommodation for my daughters next to it/very near. As a member of the Caravan and Motorhome when I saw that you are Camping and Caravan Club friendly i did expect an certain standard which unfortunately you did not meet. In sites owned by these organisations disruption and noise is kept to a minimum by the visible presence of wardens which again you do not appear to follow.

Kids had a great time as large spaces to run around and there was a small park at the back which I felt needed updating a bit. We went with friend to just relax and get together so was not looking for much so our experience was good. Grounds and toilets fairly clean . As shared facilities you can’t expect more as some people can be messy really but staff tried to maintain.

This time I decided to stay in a bell tent for ease as had been working so much, and camping without my husband who was working! The tent was lovely - however the zip to the tent was broken, meaning we had an open tent, so no privacy and security!! The weather was very hot, which was lucky! The following morning when I informed staff they said they would try to sort however they reported they couldn’t sort till the following day, when I would be leaving. The campsite is very child friendly and has a safe feeling. But I was there with my 2 small children and no husband so I feel the zip offers some security and protection! I emailed to inform staff of my concern and upset but no response. Sadly this has made me not want to recommend this campsite!!!!

We had a wonderful stay in Bell tent 3. It needed a sweep when we arrived and the rings at the front of tent which should be connected to pegs weren't. It needed a sweep when we arrived and the rings at the front of tent which should be connected to pegs weren't. This didn't affect our stay though as it was so hot. The new shower block was great, but the doors were difficult to unlock, my 7 year old got stuck for 5 mins.

It was clean and spacious inside and lots of space between tents outside. Loved the children's play area, fantastic shower and toilet blocks and we enjoyed watching England play in the clubhouse. It's our second time at the site and definitely won't be our last.

Went to go for dinner at the clubhouse at 5.15 to be told food stopped at 5pm and They were closing at 8pm! Having no facilities to cook this left myself and my triplet daughters a little panicked about where we were going to eat that night. I think it would have been helpful to be told times of clubhouse open and closing at check-in.
