Pennine View a family-run caravan and camp site on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, a mile from the centre of the historic market town of Kirkby Stephen. It sits at the midway point of the Coast to Coast route and are only a short drive from both the Lake District National Park, Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Pennines, meaning that there are lots of walks and cycle routes nearby catering for all tastes.
These beautiful wooden pods can sleep up to 5 people and come with mattresses which convert from comfy benches to a big bed. The pods also come fully equipped with heating, light, a fridge and a kettle. In addition to the stunning mountain views, outside each pod, guests can make use of a BBQ and picnic bench
Guests will need to bring their own bedding, cooking equipment and utensils, towels and charcoal for the BBQ.
Well behaved dogs are allowed in our pods, however you must bring your own bedding for them.
Our spacious washrooms are well appointed and open 24 hours. They boast individual wash cubicles with mirrors, free hot showers, hair dryers and a deep sink in the ladies for baby bathing. A large disabled room is available in both the ladies and gents, which can be used as a family cubicle.
A children’s play area is provided with a swing and climbing frame with slide. Children must be supervised whilst playing on site.
We have a small shop in reception selling essentials to stock you up when you run out. (Plus chocolate because that’s an essential in our eyes!)
We offer free WiFi to our guests on site across all accommodations

The pods them selves are great, fridge, kettle, plates, cups & cutlery provided, large picnic table and coal bbq per pod. We have stayed in summer and early winter. Small decking area at the front door for wet or muddy items. The engine shed (pub on site) is great, different cuisine served each night. Toilet & shower blocks are very clean and tidy and we have never had to queue to use them. Washing up facilities, oven/toaster/washing machine/dryer all available to use for a small fee. Staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. Our most recent stay was 28/05/2023 for 3 nights. We haven’t camped yet but plan too, pitches are spacious and plenty of room for your car too.

Pod space is great, can sleep 5 with no issues. Much more comfy than expected. Facilities were also great, including the kitchen and bathrooms. My mum and dad stayed in their campervan . My sister and her family were in their caravan. Visited the Engine Shed every evening for a couple of drinks and being able to buy hot food was a bonus for us. Great Easter family getaway. Hopefully visit again next year.

Our 3rd visit and will definitely be back. Excellent site with very friendly staff. We stay in a pod and they are well equipped and spotlessly clean. Thanks for a fantastic stay Pennine View.
