Get back to nature and stay in a traditional Mongolian Yurt. Sleeps up to 5. The yurt has a double bed, a single and a futon which pulls out into a 4ft bed. The yurt is set privately in a secluded spot in the corner of a 3-acre field next to a shallow babbling stream, there are lovely views of the surrounding North Devon Countryside. Ideal for couples and families who can enjoy peace and tranquillity away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Walk over the wooden bridge to the yurt, children can play in the stream, add some more stones to the dam or just run around the 3-acre field. Lit with candles and lamps and heated by a wood-burning stove, the yurt has a double bed, a single and a 4ft futon. All bedding is supplied, you just need to bring towels (a torch and wellies are also a good idea.)
Just outside the yurt is the lovely new kitchen bothy and real flushing loo as well as a relaxing hot tub! In the Kitchen Bothy, there's a Belfast sink with running water, a gas hob, and grill, pots, and pans, cutlery, and crockery for six, a bbq, coolbox, all you need to cook and eat your meals. Also outside, by the stream is a private fire pit for your own use, no need to share with other campers and glampers.
A short walk away, at the top of the field, past the chickens from whom you are welcome to collect fresh eggs for your breakfast, are more toilets, lovely new modern showers with plenty of hot water and heating from our biomass boiler which is on all year round. You will have shared use of the fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble drier and electric points for charging phones or using your hair drier or straighteners. We have just two other glamping lets, all of which are secluded in tucked-away corners of the fields around the farm. If you have a larger party there is the option of the drover's hut which shares a corner in the same field.
Thinking of having a party, reunion or family get together? You can hire the yurt and the whole field and facilities for your party for a very reasonable price. Lambing takes place on the farm from the 1st April each year. Guests are welcome in the lambing shed to feed lambs and see them being born. We are happy for budding farmers, young or old to lend a helping hand.
